great to see Plan B top 20, I really hope this can go top 5 and have a stable chart run, it deserves to be having all the success Turn Up The Music is having :(

Does anyone know when ''Call Me Maybe'' is out in UK? Just seen its #1 in ireland. :o

23rd April. :)

Wondering if Justin Bieber can get a good chart position with Boyfriend, as it's out tomorrow. Top 10 would be nice but it'll be SO frontloaded...

I can only echo what others have been posting about Chris Brown. Whilst 'Turn Up The Music' isn't exactly his worst single (yes, he's released much worse imo over the years), it really isn't worthy of being a #1 hit. :(

It's also the type of song that if it does go to no. 1 on iTunes, it won't be there by Friday evening meaning yet another "one week wonder". This the exact reason why I've always been against such things as the tracks that get there for their sole week aren't even deserving of one week at the top. Again, imo. :P (I know plenty of Buzzjackers would love to have 52 new no. 1 singles in a calendar year - that thought fills me with absolute dread).

So Gotye for sixth non consecutive week at no. 1 or Katy Perry for 2nd week at no. 1 - Chris Brown to "do a Dappy" please. :D

Would you prefer Chris Brown to have 1 week at #1, or 6 weeks at #1 with this song?

I'm really upset this song is doing so well, it's really poor. One of his worst songs ever (and I've actually listened to much more of his discography than most people here).

Yeah, that Christmas song that Justin Bieber released last year was one of the most front-loaded songs I've ever seen. It shot straight into the top 10, in the space of a couple of hours, then started falling again a few hours later. Even the likes of JLS manage over 24 hours before they start falling.

That Justin Bieber song did have a good chart run in the end though, mind you, just it's original chart performance was a bit extreme.

Surely it will at least go top 10, seeing as Mistletoe shot up. And that was a Christmas song in October...

It might not be as frontloaded as that was though, as it's not a seasonal song and there's quite a lot of 'hype' (even if only among 'Beliebers'). I certainly would rather it was frontloaded thoug :P The song doesn't sound quite as bad as his previous output but I still certainly wouldn't say I liked it!

Yeah, I remember that. I suppose it's those types of fanbases that will buy the song as soon as it's out, and it will just drop throughout the rest of the week. But yeah, Mistletoe didn't do too badly in the end. :)

I think removing the track from UK iTunes will cost the track quite a lot of potential sales that would be made right at this very moment. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, had the song still been available I reckon it would've been top 10 on iTunes already and be looking set for no. 1 next week. Carly Rae Jepson would've easily outsold Chris Brown this week but alas record companies know what they're doing!!! ** chuckles ** :D

His song which he released a month ago with Far East Movement went straight to #2 on iTunes, and now it's #352. It's fallen that far in the space of a MONTH (and was on air, on sale too). So I wouldn't be too worried about here.

fun.'s song is so massive. It's blocked Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber from #1. This is just NOT NORMAL. I think it might get #1 here, and it's very radio friendly, so it'll have a long chart run.

Turn Up The Music now number 1...this would be the first duff number 1 of 2012, and its a shame as all the other number 1s have been great :( (even Twilight)

In all honesty, do you really think 'Turn Up The Music' could potentially get 2 weeks at no. 1? Seriously?!!! :o It's the type of song that most people will have forgotton about by July 2012 and hardly hear it ever again after that.

Chris Brown  #1

Yay!!! :)

It was only a matter of time C.W. :( That said, I'm sure there'll be plenty of them around Jul-Sep time.

Bieber will sadly shoot straight into the top 10 but with any luck should plummet as fast as it initially rises within a week or so.

Chris Brown now #1 <_< Plan B up to #16, wish he'd pick up the pace a bit now, he just seems to be climbing a place every once in a while.

I do like 'Turn Up The Music' now but it doesn't deserve #1 at all, easily the second worst #1 of the year and the second to not make my chart (although I may still chart it in the coming weeks if it grows further).

I actually quite like Turn Up The Music, it's not that bad  Just very generic, and nowhere near as good as his best songs (which imo are Look At Me Now, Forever, With You and of course No Air ).

Has Boyfriend already premiered online actually?

Nope, only a 15 second clip :P

You refused to answer my question. It's clearly getting to #1 now, so what you prefer it to have? 6 weeks at #1, or 1 week at #1?

I agree that it's very forgettable. Probably my least favourite #1 of the year so far. I certainly know I'm never going to listen to it again (out of choice). So I would prefer it to get 1 week at #1.

On the brightside at least Usher is not out yet, just imagine a top 3 consisting of Chris Brown, Sean Paul and Usher -_-
