Are people wanting to send this Kerli track because they think it's going to win rather than they really like the song?

 

If there's an overhyped track I'm aware of but don't like there's no way I'd enter it just to grab a potential win. I'd rather win BJSC with a song I really like (the only time I entered a song because I thought it'd do well, I DNQ'd and it served me right!!! :lol: )

 

I was going to send it because I am a big fan of the track!!

 

You may have noticed I just said WAS! In my last minute search on YouTube, I have found a song that I love so much on first listen (even more than Zero Gravity) which I don't think anyone will have heard! :o

I would say yes, because the only penalty you'll receive is 33% deduction but not a ban from the next contest as long as you vote in the finals, so you can at least attempt to make it through even with the deduction :D

At the same time though you may want to save that song until next contest if you don't want to shaft it.

The thing is the track I'm planning on sending is only likely to scrape through to the final if it does manage to qualify. It'd be a shame to 'waste' it by not voting in the semis :(

Yeah I was thinking about that actually! I've always entered a song that I only discovered since the last confirmation, so I've got a whole load of songs that have been hanging around for a while! I've actually got one that I was first considering sending this time last year! (XXXIII) :lol:

So my shortlist includes:

 

A Danish pop track with subtle indie influences (my confirmed track so far)

A French dark and moody midtempo house track.

A former Batidas representative with a two year old disco track (ie; the "I'm absolutely stuck for ideas" option :kink: )

I know this stinks of :lame: but i only just 'got' Frida Gold - Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen, the song I initially gave 150/1 odds to win before it came 2nd
