Debuting a song in that sense generally means the first performance/mass exposure of it.

EDIT: Just realised that it says "Wide Awake"! A much better option! Hopefully another top ten hit here, which may make her a record-holder, I'm not sure.

While I'm glad they're abandoning Dressin' Up, I'd really hoped the absence of anything since the POM video meant they were moving on. Ah well, we're almost there. Light at the end of the tunnel etc etc.

Thank God they seem to have just forgotten 'Dressin' Up'! 'Wide Awake' is so much better.

The (pretty brilliant and unique) lyric video:

Can the topic title be changed?

EDIT: Pretty cool performance - although a bit similar to that of "Not Like the Movies" from her tour.

That lyric video is outstanding though! Such a clever idea, and it made me feel really proud of everything that she's achieved since then, especially how much she loves her fans for getting her to be so successful! I wouldn't mind it being the official video, but obviously music channels wouldn't be able to promote Facebook in that way :( Massive smash hit for "Wide Awake" please!

A lot of Pink fans are comparing this to Pink's performance at the Grammy's...but I really dont get it  Yes shes used the silks like Pink does, but that doesnt mean she is copying her? And I'm pretty sure Pink wasnt thte first to use them either

TBH I dont think this is anything like Pink's Grammy performance  I have to say though I think Katy looked a little uncomfortable on the silks, maybe this effected her vocals, because I'm hearing people saying she didnt sound good either (I've only watched the video with no sound  ). Also noticed Sebastien Stella performed with Katy, and he was a dancer on the Funhouse tour, so I guess he bought some ideas into the performance (which could've made it seem 'Pink')

I really dont like the song either (or Dressin' Up), I don't know why, I'm just not crazy on these two. I loved Part of Me.

I love Wide Awake!! And the lyric video is amazing :D
She did seem rather uncomfortable during that performance, although I don't blame her. The song is okay too, the least good so far though.
I think I actually like this more than 'Part Of Me' which got boring for me very quickly. All of the other singles are better though.

The trailer to the video looks absolutely brilliant!

It's making me sad it's all over!

WOW! That looks incredible! I actually got goosebumps watching that!
She's so ridiculously good at videos! Even her weakest ('Part Of Me') was amazing. Really loving the song now too, perfect one for her to close the era on imo.
Absolutely incredible video. It's the perfect video for the song and the perfect video to close off this amazing era with! I loved all the little references to things going off in her life/her career. This has GOT to be a hit. It left me feeling emotional. (As expected.) Stunning stuff. (Brilliant casting of the little girl too! :o)

It's a good video, but not as brilliant as I'd hoped for. The little girl was nice, but I'm not sure I completely understood then maze/labyrinth theme that was going on. I liked how it began and ended though.

My video ranking would go as follows:

1. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"

2. "California Gurls"

3. "The One That Got Away"

4. "Firework"

5. "E.T."

6. "Wide Awake"

7. "Teenage Dream"

8. "Part Of Me"
