You have to remember that 'MHTO' was released during a much busier period. The summer months are generally the quietest time of year for the music charts--and, inevitably, sales are much lower--so I would expect a summer single from The Saturdays, with their rabid fanbase, to fare better on the charts but score lower sales.

A problem with MHTO was that it was released a week before the album and therefore a lot of fans (I include myself in this) didn't buy the single and waited a week for the album. That coupled with the literally no airplay and in a busy time meant it was pretty much fanbase only with MHTO's sales.

30 Days is having better airplay and although still very poor more fans will buy this single because there has been no announcement of a new album or release anytime soon.

I think this will go top10 purely because its a new song but the problem is its not very good so it wont hang around.
I think this might peak at #5. It isn't up there with their best, but I still quite like it.
I see it peaking around about #7/#8

Except that that theory doesn't hold up well, as sales of the album were crap...

Between 7-8 I think, although it may drop out of the Top10 the following week.

I would love to see them get their 1st No1, but I don't think it will happen :(

Are The Saturdays destined not to have a UK No1?

Frankie and Rochelle are seriously unlucky. Three #2's with S Club 8 and then they've been midweek #1's with The Saturdays three times (JCGE, Missing You and All Fired Up) but fallen by the Sunday.

Up was their second single; they've released plenty of great music since; Ego, Higher, Notorious :)
Thing what I don't understand about The Saturdays is that they DO record fantastic electro pop songs. Anyone who has bought their albums will know that they're enjoyable and there's very rarely filler. When I think of The Saturdays and their music, I think of their fantastic material like Higher, Up, Ego, Work, Notorious and All Fired Up but I also think of their album tracks like White Lies, Faster, Get Ready Get Set, Chasing Lights, Wordshaker, One Shot, Here Standing, Fall, Lose Control and Do What You Want With Me which are as good as the singles I mentioned. Unfortunately casual fans of The Saturdays also associate their music with dribble like Issues, Missing You, My Heart Takes Over, If This Is Love, Forever Is Over and Just Can't Get Enough which I think is a shame because if The Sats just stuck to releasing the right material, they'd probably have more people buying their albums. I mean, honest to God, who chose My Heart Takes Over to be a single over White Lies?! There's so much amazing stuff on the Saturdays albums that nobody knows about because they're not sure whether to buy the album or not, and I put that down to their singles being so hit and miss and all over the place in terms of genre. (electro pop, pop rock, pop dance, dance, ballads)

I can't believe 152 people have voted in this poll! :o

It seems there's only like 20 regular posters here.

I don't see where the non-stanbase sales are coming from for this. It's not even A-listed by Radio 1 and it's poor too. Top 10 simply because of the fanbase maybe but any higher and I'll be shocked.

#1 on the album chart!!!

i see an opportunity here that they should rush release a greatest hits. that would sell wel

I think that's what they need to try to win over more people. It did do Girls Aloud a world of good releasing 'The Sound Of...' so I can see a similar effect if The Saturdays did the same.
