Very good odds from Tom and Cain, but not so good from RF in comparison. However, Emma is still in the top 10 there :D

I think you'll do very well - likely top five - but I think the track is a little old for some and might be a little short-changed in their votes, ruling out a win.

But then I gave Lucie Silvas 8/1 or something so it's not as if I'm to be trusted!

Yes, that's a good point. I know some people have been aware of it since January (I think) so like you say, it may be old for those people. But hopefully your likely top 5 prediction turns out to be correct!

Haha! I'm sure it was only a one-off though :D

Which country are you Ryan? I lose track these days!

I'm Ramrynia :D I still haven't managed to learn who all of the countries are yet after all this time, but I'm nearly there! :kink:

Ahh! Thanks. I get well confused all the time, but as I vote for the songs not who send them this is handy.

No problem!

Not that I think it'll be particularly telling, nor will I be bothering to quote them but a fair few of this moth's BJSC entries have entered in the bottom half of the multichart if that will aid the speculations!

Yep, I saw them! I can't remember who was on there, I'll have another look now. At first glance it was iamamiwhoami, Dragonette (I think that was top actually), Paulina and Bright Light x2 if I remember correctly.

Remember that some of those will be charting away from just the BJSC connection, Bright Light x2, Dragonette and Paulina for example all made or would have made my chart regardless of them being sent and I've noticed them in charts of people that don't participate.
'play' was charted by me, Ghosty, Dandy (three accumulating about 110 points alone!), Rich, Doctor Blind, LewwX~~~~__x_x_x~~~xxxxxxx, Liam and probably a couple of other indie bitchez. That's it. Hardly that much hype. And it'd have still entered the chart at some point, without BJSC exposure.

I think Yuxhaaq and Kylienips are still racing for it. Eledan might well be an outside bet, I'm not as sure of it winning as everyone else seems to be. I'm marking 7 possible winners.

In fairness that's not QUITE what he was saying...he was more saying that he was considering it but leaning towards another track because it's a bit of a rip-off.

Essentially this.

By the time I saw that Emma had been half-inched I was down to scoring it 6/10. I initially thought it was brilliant but repeat plays just kept reminding me how much better The Last Time is and when I played the pair back to back the similarities were just so profound and I really started to go off No Excuses. (The Last Time also made me realise what No Excuses had been missing that whole time. Her bandmate.)

The only reason it was being kept around at that point was in a vain attempt to see if I could get past the fact that it was a shit version of The Last Time and because I was still trying to talk myself into throwing away an easy top10 in favour of a certain DNQ instrumental track. Having a default confirmation made me remember that the likelihood of XLI and XLII being flukes were exceptionally high and that continuing to send songs I love consequences be damned would be far preferable to finally making year-end #1.

So Rob, no I am not labelling a song I got beaten to sending (and most likely wouldn't have sent) shit because Ramrynia beat me to it. I am labelling it shit because compared to Psycho and The Last Time it actually is.

(Yes I know this is a very late reply but I'm still catching up on stuff from when I was away)

It gets a bit overlooked considering most people (including myself) seem to prefer The Last Time but Psycho is still easily one of the best entries I've ever sent to BJSC, Sheelah were insanely great.
They make the perfect kind of pop music imo, it hits all the right spots. Shame they never became huge. Psycho and TLT are pretty equal in brilliance imo, although Psycho's lyrics push it further ahead imo
The Last Time inches Psycho for me due to money notage. It really takes the song that extra step for me.
I also just prefer The Last Time to Psycho, but I really like both!! I think it's The Last Time's massive chorus that clinches it for me even though Psycho has a great chorus too :D
Both are insanely crap. :D
