As long as Usher is ripping off The Weeknd rather than Taio Cruz I'll be happy, and speaking of The Weeknd, there's another Canadian act surely destined for huge things very soon. Climax is great and I'd be quite happy to see it go top three, interesting to see that Sway might be the saviour of British music in the top ten if he keeps climbing, I'm not sure that I've even heard the song yet!

Sway up to #11 now - with the EP sales on top of that too, it could well debut at #11/12 on Sunday (depending on how well it holds during the week). I think Azealia Banks is now even more likely to miss out on the top 10, 'Titanium' (at #12) has three versions in the top 100 and 'Wild Ones' (at #10) has two in the top 50.

Anyone else find the You Me at Six situation really weird? R1 have 'No One Does It Better' playlisted (A, I believe) and YM@6 have been promoting it for the past couple of weeks (when it was at 59p too) - yet it's 'The Swarm', doing well by name/TV advert, which is the one spending three weeks in the top 40; surely they're promoting the wrong track entirely.

 

I think the tactic of releasing a single with no rumoured plans of an album is working well for bands at the moment, I mean 'R U Mine?' by Arctic Monkeys has done surprisingly well (it's not had a HUGE drop on iTunes yet) - so I think in not revealing any plans for an album, people aren't holding back in buying it.

Just went and bought 'Level Up' now seeing as it's #11. Please go top 10! We've got Conor Maynard out next week to return Brits to the top 10 anyway even if he fails though.

Doing way better than I expected now! Could maybe go top 20. I'd quite like this to outpeak 'Good Girls Go Bad' by Conra Starship/Leighton Meester.

I'd forgotten about The Weeknd - there's so much online buzz with his mixtapes that I'm sure he'll do REALLY well. I'd imagine he'll surely have a proper studio album out in the next year, so yeah - another successful Canadian!
