October 23, 201212 yr Not an 'evolution' at all, some of the album is really bad! I like the sound of 'Hold Me Down' though, it's a shame they're so generic because they could be quite good, the autotune really isn't helping their case either, I thought they could sing on XF so it's not really necessary.
November 4, 201212 yr Author The album's out tomorrow...they've uploaded this acoustic video of 'Hold Me Down'. This would be an incredible single! C6z8pD_k71g
November 5, 201212 yr Author Overall a very strong album! I think 'Have Your Way' would make an excellent single, it's got a bit of a funky 80's feel to it whilst maintaining that sort of early new jack swing sound. 'Gotta Try It' is like a darker version of 'Gone' by *NSYNC and 'I Like It' is very strong too. The dance-y songs like 'All The Way' are passable but they're not OTT like 'The Club is Alive' was - bit more refined.
November 5, 201212 yr Oh god, apparently they're covering Run and releasing that as a Christmas single... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...l#ixzz2BMtl9V7I
November 5, 201212 yr I saw that too but Robot pointed out the following comment to me; They're not releasing a Christmas single. This was for their Christmas special for Sky1, they were singing around a camp fire with fans. Do some research DM before posting! Phew.
November 5, 201212 yr Author I was about to say that was for their Christmas special. Someone I follow on Twitter went to the filming of it - I can't wait to watch it! Ben Winston's directed it who they also did their ITV1 special and 'Eyes Wide Open' 3D film with :)
November 6, 201212 yr Guessing this will chart at #4 or #5 on Sunday but i think it will be a solid seller over the Christmas period - Clearly they need to go down the 'Great Hits' route next year!
November 7, 201212 yr Author Number 3 in today's chart update then...am relieved to see it's top 5 at least, hopefully it'll stay there or at #4 come Sunday! They were on 'Loose Women' yesterday and they're doing album signings - one in Newcastle tonight and another in Birmingham on Friday.
November 7, 201212 yr Excellent start for JLS! Seeing as the #1 & #2 album have sold 50k and 25k so far this week then JLS should get decent sales too.
November 7, 201212 yr Author Track-by-track commentary that they've just uploaded to their VEVO: VHj0I2tqd7s
November 9, 201212 yr 'Evolution' enters at #7 in Ireland. Somewhat embarrassingly that is a place behind One Direction's 'Up All Night' at #6! 22-46-58 for the 'Hottest' single. Album holding on at midweek #3 in the UK.
November 12, 201212 yr The tour isn't until December 2013, I know they've announced a year in advance in the past but I don't see the need this time. :( And it's annoying because I'd normally get tickets for Sheffield but I may or may not have moved down to London by that time.
November 14, 201212 yr Author First week sales last week were apparently 34k. Even I can't shy away from the fact that's crap. I just hope the Sky1 Christmas special and 'Give Me Life' push it towards the 100-200k mark at least :( They don't deserve this. Just hope it's a temporary blip.
November 15, 201212 yr It doesn't help that the album is patchy at best. I listened to a couple of songs from their first album recently and it doesn't even sound like the same band anymore. Outta This World was 3/4 excellent as well so it's a shame Jukebox and Evolution have been pants. Edited November 15, 201212 yr by Jamesy
November 15, 201212 yr They are a very average band, releasing very average music. http://www.rlgf.info/16.jpg http://www.rlgf.info/13.jpg http://www.rlgf.info/14.jpg http://www.rlgf.info/17.jpg http://www.ryzu.info/10.jpg Edited November 15, 201212 yr by James wead
November 16, 201212 yr Am sure the Sky 1 special will give them a boost and hopefully give the album legs post Christmas
