April 9, 201213 yr I'd say Nicki would be able to reach around 200-250k first week. Are you sure Pink Friday opened with around 400k Liam? It seems a bit much for her :o
April 9, 201213 yr I'd say Nicki would be able to reach around 200-250k first week. Are you sure Pink Friday opened with around 400k Liam? It seems a bit much for her :o Yep, it was 375k - iirc it was the same week that Kanye West did like 900k with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
April 9, 201213 yr Yep, it was 375k - iirc it was the same week that Kanye West did like 900k with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The days when album sales like that were still reachable. It seems nowadays that apart from Adele, no-one can even manage to shift 3 million overall... :drama:. Adele in for a big increase again? What's with that? At this point, once it reaches Diamond certification I wish it'd just pop out of the chart as it's been there for too long
April 9, 201213 yr How is it possible that 1D in opening week had 32k in midweek, and now they have 64k ?? It's 2 times more, then they sold over 170k copies, co how many they may sold now??
April 9, 201213 yr The odd 50% sales in sometimes is very inaccurate as it might've counted small retailers who don't contribute as much as the large retailers thus making it unreliable. The 64k you see here might mean 1D might do around 150k+ but at the same time it could be only around 90-100k. I believe 1D might be doing around the sum of their opening week though due to their promotions in the US at the moment.
April 9, 201213 yr A bit low for Nicki :( Hope it can pick up The songs off the album havent really set iTunes alight either. Edited April 9, 201213 yr by HausofKubrick

April 9, 201213 yr This isn't midweek sales though I don't believe.... the percentage just means the number of retailers counted in or something along the lines of that.
April 9, 201213 yr Just checked and '21' 'only' did 121k the whole of last week - if the other ~45% of sales info contains just 5% of her sales she's in for an increase! Something must have happened here, is it available somewhere for a lower price or something?

April 9, 201213 yr Poor sales for Roman Reloaded, probably just a bad sample but even so I can't see it doing more than Pink Friday now.
April 9, 201213 yr I think comparing Nicki's opening sales between now and her last album is a bit unrealistic, given that Pink Friday was released during the busiest shopping week of the year (Thanksgiving).
April 9, 201213 yr I think comparing Nicki's opening sales between now and her last album is a bit unrealistic, given that Pink Friday was released during the busiest shopping week of the year (Thanksgiving). I think its very realistic to compare sales considering since then she has became such a bigger star and she has big hits out at the moment. I still think a big issue with the album is that the title of it sounds like its a Pink Friday re-release. I know a lot of people I know did and tbh so did I for a while.
April 9, 201213 yr It could be due to Rumour Has It being airplayed quite a bit now as the new single. Album sales also see a noticable increase during Easter week in the US.
