April 10, 201213 yr If I ranked the albums post ROL: American Life (just divine, the title track and Intervention in particular) MDNA (a brilliant return to form!) Hard Candy (underrated I feel, gets too much hate) Confessions (a good album but pretty overrated imo) Music (a good album, but a bit patchy) Ray Of Light (overrated, it's good enough but it gets quite boring towards the end. ROL and Frozen are two of my Madonna top 5 though!)

April 11, 201213 yr It's not hard to be the best since Confessions, but because that is so amazing it certainly isn't the best since Ray Of Light. Of her RoL albums onwards I would rank them: 01 Confessions (10) 02 Ray Of Light (10) 03 American Life (9) 04 MDNA (8) 05 Hard Candy (6) 06 Music (5)

April 11, 201213 yr MDNA, to my mind, shows at least some effort to try and craft her own sound again wheras Hard Candy was just the sound of an artist with no real direction left and Celebration continued that. It's a much stronger set of songs too, there's nothing as good as Love Spent of I'm Addicted on Hard Candy.
