I assume this is meant to be 'What's Luv'.

Yeah, sorry. CJ Beatz played it on Radio 1Xtra. Practically orgasmed. I hadn't heard it in so long.

Whenever Wherever was already charting for a while at the time, they didn't move it up the list.

Me Julie is awful :puke2:

I prefer the original Ain't It Funny, but this was a decent version, better than the remix of I'm Real :puke2:

My favourite J-Lo remix was the Get Right remix with Fabolous (although the original version was awesome too).

Put the September 2005 playlist here

I could really go for June 1989 right now.

Why?

I just want to see where these songs + others were on the list :

Sean Paul - We Be Burnin

50 cent feat Mobb Deep - Outta Control

Pussycat Dolls feat Busta Rhymes - Dont Cha

Jamesy P - Nookie

Juelz Santana - Mic Check 1,2

Personally, I'd be very surprised if We Be Burnin, Rock Ya Body or Don't Cha weren't A-listed. Outta Control I would imagine was, considering it's 50 Cent...and it's 2005. That would be like Radio 1 not playlisting a Lady Gaga song in 2009.

Don't think I've ever heard of Nookie. Or at least, I can't remember it.

I'm bet I'm completely wrong with this. I hardly ever listened to Radio 1 back then. Mainly just Galaxy FM.

He's not even the only Nigerian act on the *current* playlist...

How do you insert a youtube video into your post? Nevermind i seemed to have done it

No, I corrected it when I quoted it so I could actually see what the video was.

A youtube url looks like this normally (except without the gaps): http:// www .youtube. com/watch?v= GJzF7H2e3Tw, and you have to get the code at the end that's in bold and put it inbetween the youtube tags. :) Except obviously get the address for the relevent video first.

I really don't think I ever heard Nookie before. :( It's a great song though, on first listen.

But there's another act on the current playlist that was actually born in Nigeria :P
I'm getting 'Freedom' vibes from 30 Days now. Hopefully it doesn't go the same way that did!

Free download and a shelved album? :P

Surprised at Radio One snubbing them to be honest. It's a shit song, but I believe all their other singles have been playlisted? It's not as if they kicked out the last original member either...

Edit: wow, it's really flopping on radio as of now:

According to this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Engl...igerian_descent , Taio Cruz, JME, Lemar, Kele, Dizzee Rascal, Skepta and Tinie Tempah (and maybe some others I might've missed as I only skimmed through) have all been in the charts very recently and are of Nigerian descent.

Isn't it possible that Radio 1 could playlist the song next week, or the week after, or have I missed something? I don't think it premiered very long ago, so I'm not surprised it's not got much airplay yet.

Yay for Tulisa!

Not surprised about The Saturdays. "30 Days" is a horrible song. Their worst single.

'Of African descent' is not the same as 'African'. Tinchy Stryder was born in Ghana but all the other British rappers of African descent were born in the UK AFAIA.
