Hello everyone! :cheer: And a soothingly warm welcome to the IX'th edition of Unknown Pleasures! The contest where you will be discovering secretly hidden musical gems that you normally would not find anywhere else, and this is also where you WILL find your new favourite life enhancing track.

 

I realise there's no elaborately made banner made for this edition of the contest, but that is obivously a conscious choice on my part (:kink:) to signalize how much more important the MUSIC is in all of this. And that is your cue to contemplate on what musical masterpiece you currently desire to send me. And after you've made your decision, you just upload the track in HQ (256/320 kbps!) somewhere appropriate and send your confirmational PM to me (Freeze) in this format:

BUT! And this is important; don't just send your current favourite Justin Bieber single. As much as I know most of you want to, there are certain rules to what you can send. Here are them rulez:

 

1 - There are no rules or limitations regarding genre or length of a track.

2 - The artist, group or band of your choice must not have reached the top 40 singles chart in the UK.

3 - The artist, group or band of your choice must not have reached the top 20 albums chart in the UK.


4 - The song must not be on the current UK release schedule.

5 - You can't confirm a song that has been previously entered.

6 - Songs from the same act will not be allowed to participate in the contest simultaneously. Also, songs by acts who featured in the last contest will not be accepted. If two people choose the same act, the one who submitted their entry first will be allowed to enter the act.

7 - You are not allowed to reveal (your own or others) or hint at which song you have confirmed to the contest!

8 - It's my prerogative to refuse an entry if I feel it does not fit within the spirit of the competition.

That's about it! The deadline to confirm your song of choice is 24th of April; 23:59 PM. But preferably if I get 30 (maximum 32) entries submitted, and you still haven't confirmed anything, then unfortunately you're too late to the party. Regardless of what happens I will begin the voting stage at the 25th of April on the evening at some point.

I have used Audacity to record a stream in real time. That's what I had to do with Video Games over in BJSC.

I intend to enter, but I'm going to work and will have to do so this evening, hope it doesn't fill up by then!

I have a song but it's a couple of years old so I think a lot of people will probably know it by now? Or just refused to submit it on the grounds that it was crap? Either way I'll giveitashot x
