The video for Where Have You Been really made an impact it seems! Good to see. I remember I wasn't a massive fan of the song when I got the album back in November, but it has finally grown on me now. You Da One is still better though.

Personally, I think You Da One was Rihanna's weakest ever single

I love Where Have You Been but it isnt as good as We Found Love for me, just a little behind. WFL is Rihanna's best for me (which is just ahead of Only Girl which I though would never be overtaken at the time OG was released lol)

Drive By #6 :o Surprised at how well this is doing.

Love that Higher Love is still in the top 30 at #33!

Irreplaceable #43, so close to top 40!

Princess of China is the first Coldplay song I dislike, and they're my all time favourite band so I never thought I'd be saying that :( I have no problem with artists becoming more commerical in sound, but this just sounds like such a sell-out, I'm merely glad it wasn't the lead single!

Of course I fully expect it to be a massive hit and outpeak Charlie Brown, so its the logical choice for a single really

It isn't even that commercial. It doesn't have a defined structure, there's no proper chorus and the production is very dark and mysterious. If it wasn't for Rihanna you probably wouldn't even say it was commercial.

I heard 'Where Have You Been' a few months ago and thought it was pretty meh - it'll probably grow on me now I start hearing it more though, I'm glad it does look like 'saving' Rihanna's career which for the first time in pretty much EVER was showing signs of dying. 'You Da One' was an awful single choice and 'Talk That Talk' was handled appallingly, even getting back to #25 was pretty decent for it.

And hopefully 'Princess Of China' will join it and we'll have two massive Rihanna hits at the same time again :D Really pleased with how well POC is doing so far, it's far from the best on Mylo Xyloto (although still amaze) but it's definitely a far more obvious single choice than 'Charlie Brown' (which did better than I expected, doesn't sound like the sort of thing that could get to #22 after an album release even with a price reduction and the fact it's Coldplay (after all their name didn't stop Lost! from flopping on its arse (unfortunately :())) and I do hope Charlie is right about POC potentially paving the way for 'Hurts Like Heaven' to do well - if they do a fifth single at all it'd almost certainly be that, although I prefer 'Major Minus'.

That was a bit of a rambling sentence there.

I agree with this. Coldplay are perhaps my favourite band still making music today, and when i heard of a Rihanna collab i feared their entire album was going to 'sell-out', but i was pleasently surprised with the song. It's not commercial, even with Rihanna and still kind of holds true to what Coldplay's sound is. Plus the lyrics are incredible. Even after saying all of that, it's one of my least favourite Coldplay singles to date! :drama:

I wonder if this'll be another Levels-sized hit for him? The way it's going I think it'll at least have Greyhound-style success.

Sub Focus also back up to #24 - really pleased with how well he's holding up, I'd love if he could somehow hold onto the official top 20 this week! I think he'll more likely fall to around #23 though. 'Higher Love' still at #35 so looking good for a top 40 re-entry :D Flux Pavilion down to #46 though.

There's a 79p version of "Starships" at no.163, but they have mispelt her name - nicky minaj.

Looks like another one of these illegal hip hop compilations.

I thought so.

Is Silhouettes OA/OS?
Does anyone know what Nicki's next single is?

AFAIK it's Right By My Side.

Tell me about it. Pound The Alarm needs to happen.
