Quite a random question, you may aswell ask why they haven't used... Madonna songs, or Queen songs?

 

I think there've been lots of Madonna and Queen songs used on the music talent shows, but I can't think of when a Kylie one was ever used.

They've actually only used Madonna 4/5 times in the whole run of X-Factor though, and I can't think of anyone ever singing Madonna on American Idol for example.

I actually misread and thought he was talking about why they haven't use Kylie this week.

 

But, still, there's loads of artists who don't get songs used, Gwen Stefani, and like I said, I don't remember hearing Madonna very often? I don't get why Kylie was picked out in particular.

I think it's because he's a Kylie fan, but you're right, I could complain that Kelly Clarkson hardly ever gets used because she's my favourite artist :P

Kelly Clarkson does get used. I have seen 'My Life Would Suck Without You', 'Because Of You', 'Since You've Been Gone', 'Walk Away' and 'Breakaway' being used on reality shows.

It's usually American Idol though, I remember Paige doing that awful Walk Away performance :P And Ronan Parke murdered Because Of You, One Directon murdered My Life as well :P True, she is used a bit but for the defining American Idol (worldwide, Carrie is more successful in the US) I'd think she'd be used more. But I'm biased :lol:

I was listening to Radio 4 last night and they did a small tribute to him. I was really surprised, since I thought the Beastie Boys were the type of artist that Radio 4 likes to pretend doesn't exist. :lol:

Marina combined is #10, she should easily keep it now. :D Although I won't count my chickens when it comes to Marina's chart results...

Good to see some Beastie Boys songs finally showing up ((YG)FFYR(TP) is also at #102 and Intergalactic is up to #85). I love all 3 of these songs. Not really familiar with much of their other stuff, although I do know 'No Sleep Till Brooklyn' as well.

 

Oh dear, 'Breath Of Life' is now all the way to #197 :drama: I'll just hope it's gone in higher than #82 tomorrow as it's probably pretty unlikely to re-enter in the future... (it's done pretty much what 'Mercy' did, holding up well for about a week then plummeting - 'Mercy' incidentally charted at #82 itself).

They were as near to 'punk' as anything managed to get in the late 80s.
