2 Alex Clare - Too Close 0.6667

Who would have thought??? WOW.

Wretch 32 needs to learn how to do proper promo for his songs.

If you're thinking in terms of going around performing on TV shows, it tends to be just the pop stars who do that anyway. Wretch 32's songs are amazing, so as long as they get played on the radio they'll sell well. Don't Go I think has sold over 300,000 with not that much radio airplay really for example.

I wonder if the latest drama between rihanna & chris brown on twitter will boost her new single.

Probably (a tiny bit).

I feel so sorry for Rihanna now. Both Chris Brown and Drake have dissed her on songs during the past week.

So delighted to see Alex Clare at #2!!!!

He's 0.7237 combined. Contender for next weeks #01?

He is a classic number 2... but I wish, he needs to get at least another 15% in the weekend and get that top spot until Monday.

At this stage, I think the only two possibilities for next week are Rita Ora spending a 2nd week at #1 or Alex Clare climbing there. I'd love Alex Clare to do it, that would be such an amazing #1!!

I still wish he'll do some tv promo though but oh well he still sells. Poor rihanna drake & especially the immature Chris Brown needs to quit it.

Yeah. I'd be happy for anything he can do to increase his sales lol. I never really expected him to do much like that though. Plus, he's not a really big media figure, and he doesn't have such a broad fanbase, so won't draw in viewing figures for the TV shows I think. Maybe this particular song has a better chance at a TV performance because of Ed Sheeran, who's very popular atm.

Rihanna should do a Where Have You Been remix featuring Common and Tyler the Creator to diss them back. That would be epic and get to song to #1 at least (in the US, I don't think people in the UK care that much)!!! I hope she's reading this. :coffee:

Amazing for Alex! He won't get to #1 next week (and won't beat The Wanted's new single the week after), but it's absolutely mind-blowing that it's one of the most popular songs in the country right now :D

I highly doubt it but I truly hope 30 days somehow manages to become The Saturdays first number one. Not their strongest single, but they truly do deserve a number one. However I can't see 30 days opening with over 40,000 sales, meaning it should maybe peak at around #05.

Coverdrive - Sparks has been reduced to $0.69 in Ireland, I wonder if it will get reduced here once it falls out of the top 10.

The Saturday's are allgeric to #1

Next week there's a lot that I'm hoping can chart in the top 40. Skepta mainly, and also D'Banj, Mark Ronson/Katy B and Delilah. They're incredible, I wish they'd all go top 10.

17. Labrinth - Express Yourself (I can't see his album selling over 200,000 which is a shame as Earthquake was HUGE, I hope he releases Beneath Your Beautiful and moves on to his second album)

19. Conor Maynard - Can't Say No (Actually dropping fast)

23. Emeli Sande - My Kind Of Love (I actually think her record label are fantastic and have handled the campaign amazing)

38. Coldplay & Rihanna - Princess Of China

40. The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (Dropping Fast Now)

54. Rebecca Ferguson - Teach Me How To Love

Video Games is not on the 59p list but it's 59p on Born To Die.

I may be behind but Justin Bieber has just released a song called Turn To You for Mothers Day.

You might not be, but *he* is, since Mothers Day was March 18th. :P

ISTM it's more a case of some people here being allergic to them having a #1.

In the US, Mothers Day is May 13 :P I assume this new Bieber song is targeted at his US audience

Well, unless they are under-age mothers... :P

Yes Alex Clare :cheer:

'Express Yourself' is now higher than 'My Kind Of Love' got after her performance on The Voice. Woo.

'Princess Of China' to #38. 'Teach Me How To Be Loved' already falling, to #55 - not really doing very well but I suppose it'll probably be her album benefiting more from this performance?

Yeah its all about Rebecca's album, its shot up 30 places since last night to #3, the highest selling solo album on the iTunes album chart at the moment.
