At least Tulisa's reign will be cut to a week, I wouldn't be surprised if "Young" has a "No Regrets"-esque chart run now.

When I said it was a straight fight between Rita Ora and fun. for #1, I'll now delay that until next week given this one looks like a foregone conclusion.

ISTM you'll need to delay that indefinitely, as there's no way Fun is going to be #1 at all...

Let's see...

1. Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know - 9/10

2. Coldplay - Paradise - 7/10

3. David Guetta ft. Sia - Titanium - 6/10

4. Rita Ora ft. Tinie Tempah - R.I.P. - 6/10

5. DJ Fresh ft. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now 6/10

6. Jessie J - Domino - 6/10

7. Cover Drive - Twilight - 5/10

8. Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe - 4/10

9. Flo Rida - Good Feeling - 3/10

10. Tulisa - Young - 1/10

11. Chris Brown - Turn Up The Music - 1/10

12. Katy Perry - Part Of Me - 1/10

I suppose it's not TOO bad, for the most part. Gotye will most likely still be the best UK #1 by the end of the year

Why do you think that? It looks like it'll be a quiet week next week, so if Rita falls quickly (which is likely, since it's been held back so long), then it could. All it needs is a performance on The Voice aswell.

The only number 1s I've not liked/found average are Turn Up The Music & Young. Good Feeling is decent, The rest are all 8/10 moments with one 9 (Paradise) and one 10 (Titanium), 2012 so far is definitely looking like the best year for music since 2009.

I wouldn't be so sure, it's still gathering momentum and gaining sales.

#7 38,390

#3 67,777

#3 70,581

Slowing more than I realised actually but #1 sales will most likely be down to 70k-ish from next week onwards.

Carrie at roughly #337, if I didn't screw up my counting. Far too low. :(

Glad Rita's at #1 now though, just about to buy that, Far East Movement and Carrie. :D

#59 - Set Fire To The Rain  (used in BGT was #88 before used)

R.I.P will be #1, Tulisa's performance won't be a stand out performance. Emeli Sande's on the other hand will be, I'm hoping for top 10. I realise thats really ambitious right now, but top 20 would be nice, and then with support from radio/tv top 10 eventually in the weeks to come?

We Are Young won't be #1, pretty sure it wont be, its going to continue to stick around for ages, but wont get to #1 (i.e: Love The Way You Lie). Thats my prediction anyway, would love if it did at some point.

If Fun's sales start to drop below last week's figure, it'll be difficult, and if they don't drop this week, they surely will in the next 7 days.

RE This years number 1s

01 Gotye ft Kimbra - 10/10

02 Carly Rae Jepsen - 10/10

03 David Guetta ft Sia - 10/10

04 DJ Fresh 9.5/10

05 Coldplay - 9/10

06 Cover Drive - 9/10

07 Tulisa - 8.5/10

08 Jessie J - 8/10

BIG GAP!

11 Chris Brown - 6/10

EVEN BIGGER GAP!

12 Flo Rida - 3/10

That new Far East Movement song is just dire - fair enough the chorus is actually pretty decent, but it's too frequent and it's from Justin Bieber, the featured artist. Much like 'Rocketeer' and 'Like a G6', the group's success is down to the chorus/featured artist, so I'm hoping this doesn't stick around too long - and I certainly hope it doesn't trouble the top 10.

I am interested to see who'll claim #1 next week actually, Tulisa and Rita Ora were pretty clear winners (though I'd doubted whether 'R.I.P.' would get there considering how held back it was). We've got The Saturdays, but I don't see them selling 60-80k+, which Fun., Carly, Tulisa + Rita Ora could all manage if they keep it up.

Band wagon jumping going on here:

1. David Guetta ft. Sia - Titanium - 10/10

2. Rita Ora ft. Tinie Tempah - R.I.P. - 9/10

Yet to have a single 10/10 moment at #1 :( Hopefully Call My Name can change that.

Does anyone know if Marina made the top ten yet?

No sorry. I suggest you find that out yourself. You can always find out by listening to the chart show or on the Sunday Chart Show Thread
