She'd obviously heard it all a million times but she was very nice about my little bit of gushing and gave me a hug for my troubles. Remains the most famous person I've met! :D

 I think I'd be too nervous to meet her - I've heard some horror stories from fans!

Great to hear some "old school" GaGa. ^_^ She'd do well to throw out an innocuous pop song like this again.

Despite all I said before about this being a waste of time next to "Run", I do surprise myself with how much I like it every time it comes on.

I'd also put money on Bray liking it in years to come. His claims to hate it despite loving Coldplay remind me of how I used to hate "Welcome to the Black Parade" when I was his age despite "American Idiot" being my favourite album.

These are all perfectly acceptable positions. Fan of certain works constantly deride the other artists that arrive in the slipstreams of their successors. Just because you like one band from a genre doesn't mean you have to like all of them. Most genres contain good stuff and shit stuff.

Just Dance  This song still sounds great! I knew after this and Poker Face she was a really amazing popstar :D
So name one where you think the rhyming is brilliant then.

I already have. I used Lose Yourself first, a song where the entire song rhymes with itself. I'm just saying EVEN Candy Shop has better rhyming than most of what I've read of Shakespeare. I don't think most people want to hear this disucssion anymore, so just Google some Shakespeare text, look at the rhymes, and compare that to the rhymes in one of 50's verses in Candy Shop. You'll see what I mean. But as someone else mentioned, Shakespeare wasn't trying to rhyme anyway.

Ha at the 'Crazy In Love' suggestion. I bet most would believe this was a huge seller. Damn 2003!

30. Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (2011) (#1)

I refuse to comment.

Handing over to Lee Wallace, assuming I'm not so slow that's he's already started... thanks for having me!

32. Kings of Leon - Use Somebody (2008) (#2)

We *know* this passed 900k in the week ending 5/5/12 (per OZAP).

I know. I can imagine some poor souls waiting for their favourite song to come on, and it's not even in the top 150 because they don't realize the sales were low then.

Gotye. This would be in the top 5 if they waited until next year to do this.

Somebody That I Used To Know  great to see it so high up already. It should be top 10 by the end of the year, or possibly top 5 thanks to The Voice and X Factor boosts

Just Dance  I remember the first time I heard it, instant love but I had no idea she'd be so big! Hearing Pokerface though, I knew she was going to take over.

Also STITUK  Hope it shoots up, it's so amazing!

I'll get a lot of hate for this, but I find Ed Sheeran the most boring singer ever. The A Team and Lego House are awful.

I just don't get what makes him so special. He's bigged up as something credible, but Lego House sounds like something Westlife could sing..

I have nothing but hatred for Use Somebody (anyone else remember Curtis Stigers)

Also pretty unimpressed with The A Team - he has better songs. Just Dance is so much better than Pokerface Now.

Oh I know it's perfectly acceptable, I was just saying that I wouldn't be surprised if he changed his mind.

29. Pitbull & Ne-Yo & Nayer - Give Me Everything (2011) (#1)

Easily one of the best songs of 2011
