It had the biggest losing margin for a #2 ever didn't it?

I would have thought Candle in the Wind might have been responsible for that record but number 2s in 1997 were probably selling better than those in 2002 and also - the peak sales for Candle in the Wind were split over two weeks

This must mean Boom Boom Pow is approaching 800,000 sales?! :o

You live with a girl?! Wow. MAJORLY JEALOUS!!!

I used to live with 5 girls... but being gay, I suppose the appeal of that was wasted on me!

Damn. I think I should just pretend to be gay tbh. Gay guys seem to get girls flocking to them.

80. Beyoncé - If I Were A Boy (2008) (#1)

Here we have Beyoncé's biggest hit single! 'If I Were A Boy' was the launch single for her million-selling 2008 album 'I Am...Sasha Fierce'.

Oh, right.

In my house there's 9 males and 3 females, I guess. But two of them women are married, and one is like double my age.

That If I Were a Boy thing is so awkward.

Jay-Z's version of Empire State of Mind, I'm surprised is still ahead in sales.

79. Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down (2009) (#4)

Alicia's solo re-working of her duet with Jay-Z. This huge smash helped Alicia achieve her first #1 album here!

I love this cover of Mad World, but I rekon that I am definatly alone!

Nope. I love it too. One of my favourite covers ever.

78. Michael Andrews feat. Gary Jules - Mad World (2003) (#1)

2003's rather somber Christmas #1! Not to my taste, but this is certainly a classic.

you most certainly aren't :o definitely the best song so far

77. Ellie Goulding - Your Song (2010) (#2)

An Elton John cover provided Ellie with her biggest hit. Prevented from #1 by X Factor Finalists' 'Heroes'.

any idea of the sales levels were at in the chart? ~800,000?

The weakness in the vocals made "Your Song" a rather disappointing cover. She's done better.

I guess Mad World is one of those songs which is loved by BuzzJack and hated by the public!

I love both versions of Empire State of Mind!
