I LIKE THE HELPING HATI COVER OF EVERYBODY HURTS.

There, I said it!

Naughty step- NOW!

113. Flo Rida feat. T-Pain - Low

2008

#2

The debut single from rapper Flo Rida (guess which American state he's from!), it was a massive hit here but even bigger in his native USA where it spent ten weeks at #1. I personally really like this but I realise I'm probably in a minority of BuzzJack there - Rida has had more BJ-friendly songs since though.

I'd be happy to host an hour if need be ^_^ probably not more than that though, have a few things to do

I intended to listen to this from the start, but I overslept :P very surprised Iris made it in but great news anyway! quite large drops for some of these since the 2009 one of these, I guess the likes Crazy Frog & Las Ketchup have pretty much sold their last copy

Low    This is one of my favourite songs of all time and it's my 2nd favourite song from Flo. It says a lot about how much I love his big songs! His minor hits however deserve to stay like that. Turn Around and Who Dat Girl are both not very good.

112. Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar

2011

#2

First released in early 2010, 'I Need A Dollar' took its time to hit the UK but when it did it did it big, becoming a huge hit that only just missed #1. This sounded quite out of place in the charts at the time but since then it's not too hard to imagine something like this being a hit again. Blacc hasn't managed to take advantage of that though and this remains his only hit so far, though album 'Good Things' reached #8.

111. Coldplay - Viva La Vida

2008

#1

I'm going to go ahead and proclaim this the best song on the countdown today, allowing for the possibility I may have forgotten about something to come. Absolutely incredible anthemic song from my second favourite band of all time. Much love  This was their first of two UK #1 hits, the other one is still to come.

110. Chris Brown feat. Benny Benassi - Beautiful People

2011

#4

Despite Rihannagate, Chris Brown was probably at his biggest (in the UK at least) last year - 'Beautiful People' isn't his highest peaking single but it is his highest seller and fairly deservedly so. It also saw a return to the upper reaches of the chart after eight years away for Italian DJ Benny Benassi, of 2003's 'Satisfaction'.

109 Rihanna - Rude Boy

109. Rihanna - Rude Boy

Speaking of Rihanna, here's the second single from her fourth studio album 'Rated R'. It equalled the peak of previous single 'Russian Roulette' but very deservedly outsold it by quite a lot.

I see M!key has already posted it but I've already done this 'marvellous commentary' and I'm NOT WASTING IT.

The differences between end of 2009 chart and now are staggering if correct - Elvis & JXL were at #31 in that chart and now 108????

I think they may have taken sales off for the re-issue in 2005?

It's strange to see mega-hits like Grace Kelly and I Don't Feel Like dancing down so low.

I know, although they were still massive hits, just unfortunate to be released in very bad sales climates
