It's like it's the same person/bot registering one account per day. Is there a way to IP ban them all so that this spamming circus would stop. :( All the copy/paste posts are extremely annoying and there's never been a single time either of them not copy/pasted someone else's post.

These are the last two offenders.

I really felt like posting an angry 'GET OUT OF HERE!' response to one of them earlier, but I resisted the temptation :kink:

Is it possible to ban an IP address from ever registering again?

Both banned, thanks.

Not aure how you IP ban them as they keep switching ones they use so its not an easy task.

Oh, I thought they'd have the same one each time. :o
Everybody's IP addresses constantly change. Most people get a new IP each time they connect to their internet. You can purchase a static IP if you want the same address the whole time, but there's no point unless you're using your computer as a server. If you ban an IP address now then it can mean somebody else may not be able to access the site at a later date because they've been assigned that address. The only way of dealing with spambots in an effective way is to allow admin-approval of all new accounts. It's tiresome but you can delete them before they start clogging up the forums.
