I don't get this theory of if they droped the price it would climb into the Top 5.

Beacuse surely, if someone liked the sound of it they'd pay 99p for it. If they don't like it I don't think they'd buy it for 79p for the sake of it.

It worked with Notorious on a small scale, but that only got it back Top 30 didn't it?

You would think that 40p wouldn't make a difference. Emeli Sande has climbed from 40 to 16 and Professor Green has climbed from 100 to 15 on iTunes. Notorious was around #37 and ended up climbing to around #18-19 throughout the week!

Tbh, they will be lucky to remain in the top 10 before Sunday, Jessie J has reduced the gap which was 30% on Monday to 10% :( I doubt but hope that their promotion helps them overtake Oliver Twist. Although I think Coldplay/Rihanna will go top 10 on iTunes soon also.

I wasn't taking a jab at you Lee by the way.

I just fail to understand consumer habbits. I'm trying to compare the reduction of a piece of music to a reduction of an item of clothing in my head. A customer will buy a reduced piece of clothing because they liked it bit would'nt want to buy it at full price. Whereas with music you can't apply that theory to this because with music at 99p, if you don't like it you don't buy it. And if you were to buy it at a reduced price then it would be buying it for the sake of it.

That's my view.

The 59p reduction also gives the song extra promotion of the iTunes frontpage. I really think they need to reduce to 59p if they don't want to end up with a 'Proud/ill Manors' style run.

Well, I bought Professor Green's newest single because it was 59p, but I wouldn't have been particularly tempted to part with 99p for it. 40p saving makes quite a nice difference, can go towards another download!

I really don't mind if 30 Days drops to #6 or #7, purely for the "new position achieved thing", but that's the chart geek in me lol. I'm not sure I fancy their chances of remaining in the Top 5 come Sunday anyway? They may be comfortably ahead of #6 for this midweek, but there's still 3 more days of sales to go. Could be touch and go!

Still 5 in midweeks, should enter around #6-7 this week I think.

It seems it's still #5 in the midweeks, not sure if they've still got a comfortable lead over #6 as stated yesterday though. MusicWeek published a midweek update article earlier (18th) which had them at #5 still.

#1 Rita Ora

#2 Fun

#3 Carly Rae Jepsen

#4 Alex Clare

#5 The Saturdays

Probably #6 or #7 by Sunday.

EDIT: Whoops! I just posted this without seeing Lee's post above lol. Anyway, they've charted at #13 in Ireland with 30 Days.

This just CLIMBED 3% on Kworb. It needs to get to #8 hopefully before Sunday or else The Wanted and J-Lo will kick them out.
*Slightly late* but I really like your remix of 30 Days, 2nd Adventure! :D

Debuts at #13 in Ireland.

Ouch :( Sales must have been close! Anyway who cares about Irish Charts!

I know #6, #7 or #8 would be a decent position for this and much better than we all thought it would do but I'd still be disappointed if it can't stay at #5 haha.

Sats closing in on #8 :cheer:

Literally 1% in it now according to KWORB

Hopefully LemonAid will help them up to #8 and keep them there.

EDIT: Jessie's overtaken them, they're now at #10!

They're at #10.. this is gonna struggle to get a 2nd week top 10. Not sure Lemonaid will impact or help really.
Grrrr...I'm hopefully lemonaid will push them to 8..there's nothing in it at all..

And yet some of you considered her voice to be one of the band's weakest. Tut........tut
