Godly mainly for the only place with the proper (to me) mix of ATB's Dont Stop!

PREACH IT

For my money, Don't Stop was a better track than 9pm..., but just suffered for being such a similar track and being released second. It's much more urgent and energetic.

I totally agree (we seem to be in a minority though). I count 9pm til I come as more of a novelty record really.

Both are in my all time top 100 but 9PM (Till I Come) turned me into a dance fan so will always hold slightly more of a place in my heart. Now 44 was great but I personally preferred its predecessor, Now 43 and the late 1998 one Now 41 - disc one on that is phenomenal.

the UK had a different version of Don't Stop right, more trancy I think? The one released over hear was near identical to 9PM.

this is the earliest now! album I have lying around the house, recognized it instantly by some of the songs on there as well as the artwork.

and yes, that tracklist is pretty damn amazing. adore the shania twain, eiffel 65, steps, geri halliwell, s club 7, shaft and vengaboys songs. especially that vengaboys song.

Yep, this;

Actually one of my favourite song intros ever...

Although I bought the album on import in July so the original version had already topped my personal chart way before the UK version surfaced.

That version of "Don't Stop" is the true one for me. One of my most-played songs EVURRRR.

The second disc run from 11-22 is actually ASTOUNDING.

'Don't Stop' is one of my favourite trance songs EVER    (the original of course, not the awful UK remix) I much prefer it to 9PM (Till I Come). I also feel the NEED to give 'Diving Faces' a shout out. Another great trance song that somehow got to this album despite spending 1 week T40 at #25.

OT; 'Diving Faces' eh?

How about a mash up of 'Diving Faces' mixed with 'Untouchable' by Girls Aloud? :D

Talking of your mash ups, Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough came on at work today and for the first few seconds I thought 'you're keeping me fascinated' was about to come in :D
I bought this a few years later for Northern Star, Blue and Summer Son. I know many of you will disagree but CD was very weak for me.
Decent Disc 1, absolutely dreadful Disc 2.

The latter half of disc one was packed with veterans/legends wasn't it! Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, Tom Jones, Bob Marley...

Disc 2 was definitely more to my taste though in general.

Drinking In LA lets the album down for me, always hated that track for some reason, but apart from that it's an absolutely magnificent compilation.

NOW 44 was and still is fantastic. I remember wanting it for Christmas '99 on tape! Got really angry that I got in on CD, but in the end it was for the better

I think both discs are fantastic, although some songs have aged quicker than others. I'm not surprised it's sold over a million copies in the UK.

Could be the best Now album I reckon

14. Not Over You Yet - Diana Ross

15. When The Heartache Is Over - Tina Turner

These two are so underrated to this day! Especially the Diana Ross track.

1999 was the year of the divas with Tina, Cher, Diana and Donna Summer returning with dance-pop tracks. "I Will Go With You" by Donna unfortunately only made like #40 or something in the UK, but was pretty big in certain european countries.

Worship the divas
