I have said from the beginning im not overly excited about the acoustic style album that is apparently planned and also its 2 greatest hits releases in a row and i cant see it selling overly well either. Im not sure what i think about Kylie leaving parlophone, they have worked well together and i do think Aphrodite material wise was progression and a good album its just the promotion and marketing of it after its initial release wasnt great. I think they need work on that side of things more than anything as in my opinion material wise its quiet good.

I don't think Kylie should move from Parlo. They get her, they give her a good budget for every album campaign, they're generally a solid label. The fact is she's a 44 year old woman making pop music. The odds are stacked against her now. A studio album which sells 300k copies is actually a very good result.

 

Yes, Parlo aren't the problem, if anything they are on her side. That said, writers will stop giving her good songs without the airplay royalties. Once that happens, Parlo will drop her so she needs to start thinking of new musical ideas with her team.

 

 

I dont think she will get dropped but I do think its time she leaves Parlo

The GH isn't top 10 because it has nothing new to offer..(aka cheap release)..

I am surprised TB isn't doing better..thought it would also attract people outside her fanbase.

 

TB #56 Germany and #73 Canada.

I get the feeling that she isn't a priority artist in some ways. Not saying she should leave Parlophone but they need to be 110% behind her next album, needs a killer lead and NOT to be on air on sale.

Its great she has climbed all week, hopefully she will sneak into the the top 10, i am still surprised dexys are selling more than her but i expect dexys will completly plummet next week.

It won't. Pretty good result though! Ideally it will still be top 20 next Sunday.

 

I think it will climb as its #2 in 4 HMVs in london #1 in one of them! (I love browsing there) :P
