Holy Cow! This is a gorgeous album. If only for Fitzpleasure and Tesselate.

I absolutely love the way the singer uses his voice. So different from anyone else around at the moment.

Giving this a whirl now. Loved everything I've heard so far and they're still the best UP discovery so far for me.

Their other songs all sounded a bit flat compared to Fitzpleasure but the album WORKS. Brilliant.

I so agree with this. Tesselate never worked as a standalone track for me but in the context of the album it sounds fantastic.

ugh i know! I changed it back to ∆ but kept the album artist as Alt-J. it just won't take the HINT.

 

(although i was talking about the album title. just thanking the lord they didn't call it An Epic Wave. shudder)

Is this album worth listening to? I love "Breezeblocks", so if the material's similar to that, I'll probably enjoy it. If so - could somebody drop me a link please?!

Really liked this upon first listen, far better than I'd expected. It's very consistent and doesn't get boring despite the style remaining fairly consistent throughout.

It's all about 'Intro' at the minute. 'Taro' and 'Something Good' aren't too far behind.

Well I loved "Fitzpleasure" and I quite like "Breezeblocks", given the favourable reviews here I think I'll be picking this up this week! :D

This album is so ridiculous. Ridiculously good. So many exellent songs on this. Not quite a fan of the Interlude songs, though.
