Posted May 28, 201213 yr http://www.haustveit.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/The%20Killers%20brandonssmile.jpg The Killers have revealed that their new studio album will be titled 'Battle Born'. The Las Vegas rockers have spent the last year working on the follow-up to their 2008 third album 'Day & Age' and are likely to release the album in the autumn. Speaking to Rolling Stone, singer Brandon Flowers said that 'Battle Born' is both the name of the band's own studio and a nickname for their home state of Nevada. He added: "In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better." Song titles confirmed for the record include 'Heart of A Girl', 'Flesh And Bone', 'Carry Me Home' and 'Runaways' and producers credited with working on the LP include Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O'Brien. Describing the record, drummer Ronnie Vanucci said: "It's living up to its title. This is our difficult fourth record."
May 28, 201213 yr Really really excited even though each of their albums so have been a step down from the previous one.
May 28, 201213 yr Oh yay, they're finally back! Please let this be good and not patchy like Day & Age (2 of the greatest songs ever + crap & filler). I love the title.
May 28, 201213 yr Finally :D The Cowboys' Christmas Ball was pretty crap but aside from that nu The Killers is always good. About time as well.
May 28, 201213 yr I do love a bit of the Killers and great to finally see them back :D another Human would be a bit too much to ask, but I look forward to hearing the lead single!

May 28, 201213 yr Never liked Human. More songs like Tranquilize please. I didn't mind Human. But 'this' to that latter TO BE QUITE FRANK.
May 28, 201213 yr Im looking forward to this, loved the first album ,was disapointed with sams town apart from the fantastic read my mind and then loved day and age. A mixture of hot fuss and day and day and age with a bit of read my mind thrown in would be great, i dont ask for much do i. I also loved their last christmas song from 2011 but didnt care for the others.
May 29, 201213 yr Are they really only on their 4th album? It feels like they've been dragging themselves (largely uninvited) through my life forever.
May 29, 201213 yr If you include their live album and b sides album they have delivered 6 album, all fantastic in their own right.
May 29, 201213 yr A very good point was made in a review of the 4th Arctic Monkies album. The class of 2004 seem to be strugling with 4th albums....Bloc Party, Franz F, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers all delayed in their deliverence of a 4th album. It seems to be where a crisis strikes. Album 1 well recieved. Album 2 commercial follow up. Album 3 disappointment. Album 4 what do we do now........

"Human" has saved their skins though in comparison to that lot though - "Day & Age" still sold well over a million copies and can't be far behind "Sam's Town" now. Gives them a lot of room to manoeuvre artistically because they've lost relatively little of their fanbase.

May 29, 201213 yr Plus Brandon's solo album which to me is another Killers album. For me it's like a Killers album with no filter, half great and half completely uninteresting. Saying that, it's not that much worse than "Day & Age".
