All, at 10:45pm Tuesday 29th May the power to the datacenter our server was hosted in went down. I had not been informed that any work was being done which might cause such an event as normally any failure is covered by a backup generator or redundant line. I only found out about BuzzJack being down at midday on Wednesday 30th and the power outage had corrupted our firewall and other server configs. This means simply logging in and restarting services was impossible and after multiple attempts i brought in a server tech to work on it today. We are back although I am speaking to the hosting company so I can be better informed of any critical work so at least I can prepare for such eventualities.

 

Again apologies for the extended downtime which is very unusual for us and glad to be back :)

I guess no data was deleted after that firewall corruption, server configs and etc.
