Ooh, I hope Maroon 5's label push up the release and blocks Cheryl to the top spot. :arrr:

I'd prefer Cheryl to block Flo Rida from #1 next week, and M5 block him the week after... :heehee:

Never underestimate the power of Chezza !!

In Ireland she's #1 on both the single and album front with Call My Name, far ahead of Flo Rida and Maroon 5, although those two were released earlier if I'm correct.

Aiden Grimshaw is  #56 - could miss the top 40 tomorrow at this rate :o

Really sad cause it is a really good song ! Do we know if he has recorded a whole album aswell ?

Yes, it's called Misty Eye and it's out August 20, although it might be pushed back/cancelled since ITL did badly and the second single surely will too.

Am I the only person who actually expected Aiden Grimshaw to bomb this week?

No, I expected it too! Few people thought he was going top 10 for some reason tho.

He has - Misty Eyes is supposedly out in August. *gulp*

Flo Rida performing at Capital FM's Summertime Ball infront of 80,000 people today, could this help him in the battle for #1 next week?
I doubt Aiden's album will be cancelled. I'm still clinging to the hope that he might be more of an albums seller - 'Is This Love' is too good to be flopping like this. :(
I agree, 'Call My Name' could be looking at somewhere around 150-170k first week sales, whilst Flo Rida could be #2 selling around 90-100k.

What's with Amy Macdonald's new one suddenly being in the top 60 now after flopping for weeks? (Now down to #60). I assume she made an appearance on some TV show?

If 'Young' can sell 120k in it's first week, I think 'Call My Name' should at least do 130k to 140k.

I'm thinking 'Call My Name' will do roughly the same as 'Young', so around 120k (which should easily see off Flo Rida as I'd expect him to do 90-110k next week).

Just checked - it's not actually been released. It's an 'instant grat' when you pre-order the upcoming studio album, though you can also download it separately (which is why it's as high as #58). I tried downloading it a few weeks back after hearing on Radio 2 but had no luck, hoping she releases it properly on Sunday - though the instant grat thing may make it chart illegible.

^ Was as low as #28 this time yesterday - weekend effect doing wonders for this track.

I *think* its been around too long to sell that much. I loved it a few weeks ago, now I'm bored of it. Would have bought it if it had been released back in May, but I wont bother now.

Ah, that would explain it. Yeah, it won't be chart eligible.

I'm sure I remember this song being released a few weeks ago and not making the top 100.
