Alot of people on Popjustice are saying they're hoping for a Billboard Top Ten with this, but imo that's stretching it alot. I'd say top 50 would be a success (and due to sales, not airplay).

I mean, look at Olly Murs. He's been doing tons of touring and promotion for months and he's still not charted on the Hot 100. Other artists have tried and failed to break the Hot 100, too (JLS). Top 50 would have been a huge success for these girls this time last year but because of One Direction, The Wanted, Cher, Ellie, Calvin having platinum singles over there it seems like there's going to be alot of unnecessary pressure on the girls to go top 20 which is going to be a huge task, especially as we enter the fourth quarter.

EDIT - and what happened to this being like Only Girl In The World? It's nothing like it (unless the HQ version is).

I've just heard at the beginning at this, Rochelle says "this features Sean Paul, but we're doing it without him tonight".

So I guess he is featured?

Edited by Scherz

It was confirmed by Sean Paul himself, plus Rochelle said so before and people who heard it on Popjustice also said it was featuring him, so yeah, it does feature Sean Paul, but clearly they will release a version without him like they did with Flo Rida and Travie for Higher/The Way You Watch Me. I think they know that their fanbase doesn't like when the girls goes for "rent-a-rapper", but it does help whatever the fans think. Since they would want to please their fanbase, I'm pretty sure a "Saturdays-Only" version will be plugged to the single.

I knew he'd been mentioned, it's just that when it was played in a club while they were over there, it was a Saturdays only version.

So there was a little speculation as to whether he'd been cut or not. But it seems he's still here :P

I'm avoiding these live clips until I hear the proper studio version, but everything sounds very positive thus far <3
The instrumental to What about us! Sounds just like the music in the performance!

The instrumental sounds awesome! It definitely sounds like a slight variation on 'White Lies'. I'm glad it's much more poppy than some of their dance tracks ('All Fired Up' and 'Get Ready, Get Set' for example).
So this is the lyrics of the pre-chorus and chorus, correct me if I'm wrong >

What you doing in my head (na na na na na)

You should be with me instead (na na na na na)

What about the words you said (na na na na na)

What About Us? (What About Uh-uh-us) :)

Yeah that really aint the instrumental lol but there are similarities i suppose ;) xx

Sounds nothing like it lol! It's in the completely wrong key, 'sounds' nothing like it, and there are no guitars lol.

I think we should all go with what 2ndAdventure says. I mean he's been playing that track for a while now. I think it's quite easy for him to differentiate the actual instrumental to some rubbish fake ones.

However, I wish for a January 6 release and a November 23 radio premiere...And that's only because I want to hear it the sooner possible. The best would obviously be a very early November premiere, but that's impossible...sadly.

Yeah you're probably right ;)
Choreography looks a bit pointless but hey; lets wait for the music video :D
Apparently this is due for a early January release, so I guess we can expect a late November at best (but probably more early December) radio premiere. Somehow I hope they will premiere it earlier...
So I've just got back from my weekend away and just got round to listening to this after Lee sent me a text about it being "a superior 'White Lies'" and "better than 'All Fired Up'" or whatever... I was a bit dubious. But WOW. It sounds BRILLIANT from that clip. The HQ really couldn't come any sooner! LYRIC VIDEO, NOW, AT LEAST PLEASE?! It's like 'White Lies' and 'All Fired Up' mashed together. Fantastic. I'm definitely more relaxed about them getting success with this over here (still not sure on US as I don't know their market too well to judge) with this.
It is really amazing and could be one of their best, if not the best!
From the video I have seen, it's hard to figure out the words and the dance routine seems quite messy, but Rochelles vocals are on top form. For me she is definitely becoming the strongest singer in the group. The song sounds very radio friendly, not going to say No.1 material because that would be wishful thinking until we hear the final version. Actually quite excited about this, and excited for the girls. Would be amazing if they had some sort of hit in america, hopefully this will be the song to do it! I think they just need to promote the song like hell out there and really give it their all. I mean even if things don't work out in America they've still got their UK fans.
