People are over estimating the whole VEVO lift thing... what did it do for Lawson? :\ (You're gonna tell me they're huge now, aren't you? - and it's not completely bad, just not as big a deal as most people seem to think it is)...

Also, iirc, Ellie did do quite a few TV performances early on, it's just that radio got fully behind her. Cher's promotion was handled really well too, a few TV performances, but majority of it was promoting the shit to radio stations. The Sats need to do a MASSIVE radio tour next time they're over. Radio is where the main focus is now. The sales will come with the airplay.

Why are people complaining? This campaign has only just begun for christs sake. It's so irritating seeing people complain at the drop of a hat when something which frankly "expected" occurs. Sit back and relax; I am sure their label and management KNOW what they're doing, otherwise WHY would they SIGN them? Just give it a rest. How do we even know it it has been released to radio? How do we even know if they will play it? I'm sure their label are preparing to time these sorts of things in the hope of getting the most out of the single. Hence why the video release and promo were in such close proximity.
^^ Lawson were only Vevo Lift UK.
Ahhhh. That would explain things then :P (I think it's just I read someone use their vevo as an example somewhere or something )

Also; MyDecember, not everyone who gets signed is a success. :P

Right, I totally understand that but I'd be able to understand the worried opinion of people if we were months into the actual campaign. I mean its only just started so I fail to understand the logic behind people complaining.

Too much :drama:

I think it's just a lot of them aren't as aware of how the US charts work. I know people have stated it in past comments and stuff, but a lot of people just skim read and miss the important stuff. It's understandable too as I'm sure a lot of the Sats fans here, haven't followed or had much interest in the US charts and the way they work quite as much as others on here have, up until now. I'm not even 100% sure myself, coz just like the UK charts it varies too much to keep track

Okay, here's what I believe...

What About Us could be a hit, it's showing incredible potential to be top 200 on iTunes, to even got top 105 is quite incredible taking into account the low airplay. Weather What About Us is a hit determines the dedication of the girls. They really need to return to the US next month, do radio tours and promote more shows (without Rochelle) it's not ideal, but they really need to keep forcing What About Us down the public's throat.

I would be delighted with a top 50 hit in the US billboard, but if they don't improve dramatically with airplay (which even I doubt) What About Us is not going to be billboard hit. They could go on and promote on every show under the planet, go to number one on iTunes, but airplay is the most vital object in the billboard top 100.

I really think they should have released What About Us in Febuarary in the UK and return to the US (do some shows in Canada/Australia) It's frustrating that the girls have never bothered to promote in places like Australia, they had plenty of time to promote Higher/AllFiredUp/Notorious in Australia.

Back on point, it's up to the girls to do non stop promotion/radio tours. Do I think they are determined enough to do that? No.

Can we all agree, this is the best part of the What About Us Routine.

I was wondering about Forever Is Over video. It must be UK only, because they one I can watch has only 285k views:

Edit: Same for JCGE, my available video has less than 500k views.

Did The SiriusX Fm do anything for them? Do they even play WBU themselves?
The song is up for pre-order in the Uk and Capital randomly just played the song in the UK. I don't think The Saturdays actually had any idea! I'm surprised Radio1 didin't play What About Us as they always seem to play Saturday songs first!
Capital posted a tweet saying something like "make noise if you want #TheSaturdaysOnCapital" or something. Nice to see they're (extremely) likely to be supporting it! :D
I think it's too early for Radio 1 to playlist it yet, but hopefully in a few weeks they will. Capital usually hammer songs way before release, so glad to see The Saturdays are getting supported already.
Great to see it getting UK airplay already!! :cheer: Maybe it'll make sense to bring the release forward to the end of February as they have everything ready!
Looking at the pre-order, it doesn't look like we are getting the Saturdays' solo version but maybe the "Extended Mix" will be just the Sats with the added middle 8?

*nervously steps into Saturdays forum*

*interrupts impending doom/huge denial/cheers at minor improvements in fortunes*

If the whole of What About Us was the bridge, it'd be fantastic, that promises something really strong and is probably one of the strongest things the Saturdays have done. It's almost like it's another song - the rest is weak in comparison.

But I am liking it, whatever it does I'll be pleased.

I absolutely love this song! Brillaint for spring. Will sound awesome on a sunny day.
