Whatever he does - I believe now he should do it alone.

I haven't really watched a lot of the joint Insta stuff that has been on social media but what I have seen makes me feel this:

While I really like Ayda - she's a gorgeous, lovely person and perfect for him, I believe she should pursue her acting career if she wants to do other media stuff as well as being a Mummy. That is where her talent lies. Or - as the undoubtedly intelligent woman that she is - something more serious.

I think Robbie has tried for a long time now to give Ayda a boost in terms of publicity on social platforms but I'm not convinced it's working.

I believe she's trying too hard and is loosing herself in trying to out Robbie, Robbie. When I see joint Insta's now, she's just shouting over him, constantly following his direction of conversation and humour but always three seconds behind. Never with an original line herself.

I wonder if she's lost her confidence?

I think the same. I could not watch through any of the instas or listen entirely to any of the podcasts. The serious bits are quite interesting. However I would not get the point why I would use my time for the banter or what you call it. Sometimes I think it is the age. I also dislike all these reality shows or formats like Love ISland etc. When the adverts pop up I know this is nothing I ever want to watch. Many people like it though. I am not sure if Ayda fits in any category of what people like to see these days, not the serious and not the trash ones.

They want to extend the Podcasts clearly beyond the Robbie fan base.

But I don't think this will happen: Rob's fans are not interested/young/hard core enough anymore and for non fans ...who of the target generation is interested in Robbie Williams or less Ayda?

He should work on his music and TV format and get a real haircut. Hairdressers are open in LA again (This is my shallow wish). And Ayda may be able to start as a producer or do something she can use her intelligence aside being a mum of 4. I wonder how many helpers the family has and had also during the Corona times :-).

But hey ho. Rob likes to still support this and sometimes makes himself ridiculous. I do not have to watch.

It must be hard to come up with stuff to fill in the gaps, especially right now

I watched quite a few of the coronaokie sessions but got tired of it eventually, even Robbie himself looked exhausted

They might have been better taking a comolete break ( absence does indeed work ) but guess they are trying stuff to keep the connection with the fans. I think I visited the rw.com site about 4-5 times in the last couple of months. that will tell you the kind of fan I am

I think the X Factor was Ayda's chance to shine. After all - he did it for her.

But I didn't read many positive views of her time there. So I feel a little like that boat has sailed despite how much RW would like it to be otherwise. I think it wasn't a success for her and he would have been better on his own. He's tamer with Ayda next to him. That's not a criticism - everyone is different when their partner is with them. It's just what I thought I saw.

If they wanted him for his un-predictablility - then he would be better on his own. I think Robbie and Ayda realised it wasn't working hence only the one time on the show.

Marriage wise I hope they stay together for another 50 years.

Workwise - I hope they start to pursue solo ventures.

With regard to RW.Com - I think that's more times than Robbie's visited it  it's full of posts about the supernatural/UFO's now. That's the only topic that is discussed because they know he's interested in it and they want to attract his attention.

Heaven forbid anyone would discuss his music in there now.

I so miss the days of the blogs.

The blogs, great time. I did a string of communication trainings before Corona with groups of highly educated engineers and technicians. Most of them 35 years younger or 50 plus. One of the ice breakers was 'what music do you like?' The older ones were in Heavy and Black Metal, etc, the younger were like nothing special liking a variety of music. One mentioned he really likes Robbie Williams. There was no laughter or something, not that people must be fans but there was quite an acceptance.

What surprised me though was the answer to my question which book they have read last.

Long there was nothing (not only with the youngsters). They were scratching with their feet and I thought because being embarrassed. But it was more that they felt embarrassed for me asking this question. "We read reports from time to time, but books?" All in all I did the training to 120 people and this was the reaction of the vast majority.

Why do I write this here :-)

I think that Ayda and Rob want to target people outside of the 40+ year old fan base and they do not necessarily read blogs. They like podcasts, instagram, snapchat and these filter plays I think are so strange. (I generalize now). I am not sure if this will work out. I think it would if Rob would still be in his imperial phase, but who aside of fans are interested in what he thinks? At least this is what I feel.

Robbie Williams: Modern-day pop stars lack personality

The 46-year-old singer has suggested that the new wave of musicians focus all of their energy on their records, but they lack the charisma of stars from years gone past.

Robbie told the Daily Star newspaper: "I think everybody in my line of work works at everything to do with their voice, their songwriting ability and their image. But no-one gives a f**k about their personality, you know?

"If you look at the charts, there are few people that stand out as having a personality, but not many."

Robbie spent years of his career struggling with his own identity – especially during his boyband days.

But the music star – who first found fame as part of Take That – now feels ready to embrace his new-found status as a family entertainer.

He recently said: "I went through a pompous moment when I didn't want to have anything to do with the mainstream stuff I used to enjoy. I thought it was babyish. I wanted to be Oasis and Radiohead.

"Then I was fortunate enough to relinquish those chains and go, 'Who am I? What do I like? What do I want to be?' And, actually, who I am is Morecambe and Wise, the Two Ronnies, Bruce Forsyth, Terry Wogan – that sort of British, professional entertainer who brought so much joy to someone like me, and now I hope to bring it to others."

Robbie also admitted he still loves working – despite already amassing an enormous fortune.

He explained: "People say, 'You have all the money in the world' – actually I don't.

"I'm very, very well off but I could get through the cash reserves within six months. We have a lifestyle that needs paying for and I like working for it." -_- ( I doubt he ever forgets his roots )

I like that he still thinks about money and despite living well not throwing it out of the window

Absolutely , I would say he thinks about it a lot :) . He has a nice lifestyle but I doubt it's OTT ...

The interviews that Robbie does on his own I listen to start to finish

The videos he does on his own I look at about 5-10 minutes off depending on what he is talking about

The videos he does with Ayda I listen to about 5 minutes of ( if that ) ,

That's the way it's always been, as never a great Upfront fan even though I paid for the privilege . I do like to post the videos on here & hopefully people might visit & would like to watch them

:)

I happen to think it's a confidence thing on both their parts ' if we are not doing something to fill the void ' fans will go away . I still stick by the old adage ' absence makes the heart grow fonder, Robbie does carry the 'let me entertain you ' card on his shoulder , & I guess Ayda being loyal wife as she is feels she has to be doing something

Where did the idea Postcards From The Edge idea came from or what was the reason , I would like to see her do some more acting but I'm guessing there is huge competition for roles in the US but I doubt she is that well known there anymore

Definitely the biggest difference in being a fan now as opposed to 15 years ago is the constant online presence.

I remember there would be times after tours and promo when he would literally disappear for three/four months into his house and you wouldn't see a single photo, news item, nothing.

I much prefer it now when he has an online presence and I think he's an interesting man. He has opinions on almost everything, he's amusing, encouraging, interested in other people and genuinely eccentric and original. The only reason I wouldn't listen to one of his online solo Insta's is time. I haven't got an hour a day to sit and listen. -_-

But being married to a popstar doesn't suddenly make you as interesting as them. However lovely she is and however desperate Robbie is for it to happen for her/them. ^_^

I don't know what the future holds for Ayda and TV from here on in but I think in the UK she comes across as too loud and annoys too many viewers. I think she may have had her chance and it didn't work unfortunately.

I also like Rob's online presence and that he tries out a lot.

I have some problems with anything which is 'only' bantering around. In smaller doses yes. I think you used the right word, Laura 'too loud'. I like Ayda, I like her as she seems to be lovely and not only because of Rob. What turned me off from her was the way she did the videos with a half 'drunken' Gwen. This was not fun. But I could leave and not watch as many had no problem with it. With Gwen being ill this disappeared. I did not necessarily like Pete being around on all tours. Many liked that too. I always wondered about the appeal of the Kardashians. I rarely had felt that much disgust as for this show. A time I thought that was the way Ayda and Rob would turn with the TV project. I was wrong. I assume however that whatever TV project comes up he will have Ayda at his side, and if only as mental help like Pete was on tour. It will be interesting to see which ways Rob will go. When I read that his words to the young girl had been retweeted 750,000 times I think that he can also stick to a bit less 'loud' online appearances.

Maybe it's the accent thing, I was never a big fan of US comedy shows , never watched them in fact & it was because of the accent & loudness , fount it grating at the best of time . You all well know I was never a fan of Pete & the couch , all that stuff that went on last year with that eff'n couch got on my nerves & made me cringe ( I cold not bring myself to watch that show he did on tv before Xmas as I had seen some of it on YT & that was enough for me ) but at the end of the day Mr R does things his way & is not going to change now. :)

I think why I like the Life Thru a Lens period so much was that he was very much his own person & an individual back then, it all had a freshness about it , now it's become this 'show' kind of thing that's made up of all these different characters , maybe Robbie lacks the energy of youth nowadays & needs all this stuff around him as fillers for the shows that allow him to have a rest during the shows.

I do believe that fans were better off back in the day when he would not see him for months on end after a tour was over , I think we appreciated him a bit more when he came back.

I don't think even he knows how good he is at stuff like that.

Wise decision Tess :teresa:

Inside Robbie Williams and Ayda Field's lavish £26m LA mansion with 22 BATHROOMS as singer strips to his pants for cheeky snap amid lockdown

22 bathrooms is just a total waste , maybe the dogs have one each -_-

VQQmwxd.jpg

The couple purchased the property in 2015 for a whopping £26million ($32.1m) and it boasts 10 bedrooms and a staggering 22 bathrooms in total

While wife Ayda has been sharing glimpses into their Beverly Hills mansion and family life with children Theodora, seven, Charlton, five, Colette, 18-months, and baby Beau, born in February, to her own social media.

The 24,000 square foot abode features a gym with its own ballet studio, a tennis court, sprawling garden and a swimming pool, complete with a sizeable pool house.

Ayda has been predominately sharing snaps from their sitting room, which has a light, airy and bohemian style, for her workout videos.

The room features lots of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling wooden windows and doors which go outside into their sprawling garden area.

Robbie and Ayda have opted for white walls with light grey wood panels, gold light fixtures and wooden floors in their family room.

22 bathrooms... like why!? What is the point?

I always despair at these people who have these ginormous 10+ bedroom mansions... like who needs that much space? Even if I had the money for it I wouldn't want it it's just ridiculous. This isn't an attack on Robbie btw it's everyone who has these ridiculous mansions they don't need while there are so many homeless people, it always makes me feel a bit sick. :puke2:

I agree with you totally, can you imagine all that cleaning even though I doubt Robbie would know what a mop & bucket is  ..I guess anything less in Hollywood does not exist -_-
