Lots of nettles there..... :arrr:

Robbie Williams releasing Under the Radar collection of unreleased music from 20 year solo career

“It’s a collaboration of songs that I’m incredibly proud of that didn’t make the featured previous albums.

“They should have done, because they’re amazing, but you can get lost in an alleyway of: ‘I’ve got to write a hit or everybody dies!’

“Lots of great songs go missing when you’re in that frame of mind.”

Very true statement , so busy looking for hits that they sometimes miss the good stuff along the way ... delighted he is releasing another album even if it is not going to chart , it's quite generous of him really to make those songs available for his fans

aboslutely agree

I know it goes against everything that he is to stop trying - but, in these days of streaming, it would be very hard for him to get a "hit" again. I know Love My Life stuck around for a long time but the top ten now is filled with youngsters. Older artists are facing an uphill struggle.

So - he may as well just fill his albums with the kind of music he wants to make. We can decide whether we buy it or not. I think he would be surprised how many love his less commercial stuff. ^_^

U2 are currently touring their Joshua Tree album which is 30 years old this year , as artists get older a time comes when they can no longer compete with the youngsters but they can still find a niche in the market, usually with tours etc
