I have not read the book yet, simply no time. I like UTR2 in general a lot. Some songs are too made for me like the Big Narstie cooperation.

In hindsight of Ed Sheeran. I like some of his songs, songs I would have liked Rob to write and sing with his charisma.

I am not sure about Ed as differnet to his songs he was too planned in his career for me, like the way he used Taylor Swifts contacts to break America, all the endless cooperations. It is a bit like a sell out for me, catch it as you can, different to Adele for example. This is a huge hype. It was the same with Lady Gaga some years ago and then usually it crumbles to normality.

However, when I read some articles about him in the British press with writers like Alex Petridis (sorry if the last name is not entirely correct) in the Guardian who wrote about Rob on is hey days, too. you could exchange the articles. It almost starts the same, the same questions and answers and so on. There is a lot of similarities in the description of fame between both and in their approach. However, Ed Sheeran did not make one mistake, Rob does frequently. He brings himself down a bit but not that totally as Rob does about himself. He shouldn't. He is a great artist...Rob Omean :-)

Other than their being white male solo artists who write their own songs - I can't think of a single similarity between Ed Sheeran and Robbie Williams but I guess he knows better than anyone. :P Maybe he just means in terms of the responsibility being solely on your shoulders and it's just you who can make or break your career.

It would be nice to see them perform together though.

I think Ed is talking about the ' fame ' thing . Ed is top dog these days but I think personally he finds it difficult , it is hard to stay grounded , everyone wants a bit of him , Ed had issues with drink etc , he did a recent interview on tv here, he is actually a very nice relaxed kind of lad & not without his problems .I can see Ed & Robbie getting on very well . I think he is looking at how Robbie has handled his career , really, really well for the most part ( must have done something right when he can still fill stadiums after 20 years ) & personal life , not so good at times, but has turned out fantastically , especially meeting Ayda, having a family, & making up with old foes , he still has health issues but I think is a result of how he abused himself over the years. I think someone like Ed might learn a lot from reading Robbie's book .

I guess it's hard for an artist to find their way especially starting out & all of a sudden becoming famous & coping with all the stuff that goes with that , the solo roe also carries a lot of responsibility as everyone is depending on you which must be quite scary .

Yes he probably means the longevity thing. It's one thing to be "imperial" for a couple of years but another to sustain that over two decades and to keep it fresh.

That's down to his personality though. I watched the True Geordie podcast again today and really he himself and how he is, is the driving force behind his success. His competitiveness and drive. His ambition to be number one and his ability to take risks.

He's one smart cookie who seldom gives 'himself' credit for anything :)

No he doesn't and that's a real shame.

I don't think he ever stops for one minute to even think about what he's achieved.

That's another thing isn't it - he doesn't have any gold/platinum discs up in any of his houses and no awards. Nothing to show his success (well except the evidence of the houses themselves which I guess speak for themselves  ) He's given all the Brit awards away except for the last one.

Like he says - he's still got all his "isms". ^_^

How many cars does he have these days ...we know he has the Bentley & those Range Rovery things , not sure about anything else

Don't know. I suppose with them living equally in two different countries, you're going to have all your possessions scattered about.

Liam Gallagher reveals the real reason he will NEVER record a track with his rival Robbie Williams

He didnt' say much

Is Rob still chatting on upfront?

Very occasionally yes.

Not like how he used to though. He uses the forum not the chat so much now.

He's probably bored with it.

Liam Gallagher didn't say much because he was too stoned.....

Methinks Liam's too stuck up to record anything with the Robmeister.... ;)

I really do not know why Robbie keeps going on about it , or maybe he dosen't & it's just press 'makeyuppey ', Robbie is not one for flogging dead horses , is he

I'm guessing because LG is still very much a hero to him.

I can't see it ever being reciprocated though. -_-

His loss....

Do you really think so Laura . Liam is a Mammy's boy but likes to show a tough exterior

I think LG is still a hero to RW yes. I think if either Noel or Liam asked to work with Robbie, he would agree in an instant.

It would be amazing to hear too. B-)

But I don't think it will ever happen sadly.
