I wonder if this is because of what happened at the end of the European tour?

I worry about him too. I think if you're a Robbie fan it's a given. You worry about him. I don't think he'll ever be free of his mental health problems.

We all know people with mental health issues, it's difficult, they learn to cope with lots of ups & downs , not easy ...
I wonder if Robbie will join TT for some of their GH tour

I can't make up my mind what to think. It is the perfect opportunity now as he's between albums and if he's on the album with the new songs then it would seem to indicate that he is part of the whole project. I hope he is. Fingers crossed.

I guess it depends on his own schedule , these things are planned way in advance . I guess if he was going to do something with TT I doubt it would be for the whole tour , no offence to Robbie but he does change his mind quite often, not very dependable but I guess they know that already  . It's like having a really good friend who just does their own thing, I have one of them , I love her to bits but forget about depending on her  , but I know that so I do not mind :P

I still wonder what his mental illness is about. For those who are fans longer than 2006 when I started. Had there been articles about that also in early times aside of drugs and drunk?

Aside of that. There had been an article about his wealth in a German newspaper lately. They estimated it with 175 million pounds.

They wrote that he has his hands in many projects not related to HIS music.

I think he indeed is a good business man. He supports the BAND muscial which is very successful and gets his share but with a minimum of personalinvestments while TTIII is very active.

I guess that he will be on two new songs so that he cashes on the GH asideof the old hits. But if he really plays at three further differet places this year, I doubt he will be a huge part of the promo. I can see him doing few special gigs with TT in Britain or Germany. But again, TT is doing great as a 3 piece and they will do a world tour which will likely not include the hugest arenas in the countries they are less popular. I don't see Rob doing it. He invests only (almost) to the highest gain. This is what is better for his health. I wouldlove if he would do something on TV

I have no doubt that Robbie has mental health issues, he has said so many times & I have no reason not to believe him, it must be terrible to feel like that , unfortunately years ago mental health & depression was perceived by many people as been attention seeking behaviour, the good thing is that nowadays it is fully recognised as a illness & having the support from the likes of Prince William & Prince Harry & they publicly talking about it makes a big difference to the way the condition is now viewed. I am sure being under pressure is one of the triggers & in fairness Robbie does work very hard on tour & all the responsibility falls on his shoulders so if he not feeling well I am sure it gets to him.

On the GH tour, I have no idea yet what is going to happen , maybe he will make an appearance somewhere along the line. There was talk off Robbie releasing another studio album & if he does then I expect promo & another solo tour .. he has mentioned about going to places he has not been to in a while , whether that is later this year I do not know. We have Soccer Aid in June so that's next on the horizon ....

I agree Syd, mental health issues are much more discussed these days. But in Rob's case I have no idea if he is depressive or what kind of issue it is. The drug abuse will not have helped whatever it is. And if the blood in his brain is anything to go by there is an impact on his physical health too.

I have not heard that there was talk of another solo album, Syd? This year? Next year? I can imagine him doing a Christmas album one time

The talk of a 2018 solo album was mentioned in the book Elisabeth but he's already denied that is happening now on Upfront.

I was going to say the same as Tess. Mental illness wasn't a conversation topic 30 years ago.

That aside I was totally ignorant of any kind of pressure on him from within until he cancelled the gigs in Autumn 2006. Up until then I thought he had overcome all the drinks/drugs problems and was perfectly fine. I also thought all the bad times were behind him when he married Ayda and had the children. I now realise despite how happy he is within his marriage and family life, his makeup is such that he will always suffer bouts of mental illness. I don't think it is something he can be "cured" if. It's part of who he is.

But one of the many things I admire about him is He's not a man who gives up . He's always trying to move forward and get over these difficulties. Gary said RW sometimes "loses his way". I wonder what set of circumstances causes that? Maybe there aren't any and it just happens.
