A 12-track album from The Voice UK has now been released on to iTunes featuring performances from the final 8, plus all 4 winner's singles! I believe they are all studio versions, but I haven't checked the previews yet.

 

Expect to see the winner's singles from Bo and Tyler appear in the top 1000 soon, but I fear The Voice have left it far too late to release these - I guess they had to give Leanne a week though seeing as she was the winner.

 

UK chart fans would probably be distraught at such a thought, but why didn't the UK version of The Voice release each of the singles like they have done in other countries? Including songs performed throughout the series.

 

I noticed on Australia's iTunes last week there were about 6 (at least) different The Voice covers in their top 10 from different contestants. I've also seen this happen in countries like Belguim and The Netherlands. They could've easily done the same as The X Factor by making them available to download but making them ineligible to chart.

So the chart battle is pretty much over already, can't see Cheryl losing this now. If only Flo had waited a week to release..

If it's the main issue, then the BBC should never be responsible for any talent competition where primarily advertising is key once the winner is announced. The fact the BBC were prevented from plugging the winner's single is laughable. So there you go, conclusive proof if ever needed why The Voice failed. Because it was boradcast on the BBC.

 

Channel 4, buy the contract this instant. :lol:

Brilliant to see Tyler's version of Higher Love so high already! Wasn't expecting that. I really want to buy his version, but it's not on Dutch iTunes unfortunately! Not surprising, but still :P His old album is doing very well in the album chart as well, but is any the songs charting in the singles top 1000?

Great to see Bo Bruce appearing as well.

 

And absolutely amazing to see Cheryl at #1 :D

Cheryl catching Flo before midday is amazing! I wonder how big her lead will get? Should beat the 120k that most were predicting fairly easily then if it's not too frontloaded.

3 Words is a bit of an acquired taste I think. It doesn't sound like it was made to appeal to the masses tbh (if it was, it'd be faster, less intense and haunting, more simple beat, verse-chorus structure, etc.). So I can understand why some people don't like it, but those people who don't like it shouldn't mock the people that do enjoy the song imo.

Oh, I guess she could beat Tulisa's first week sales then :P I still think its a bit average coming from Calvin Harris, but its better than Promise This
