Surely Cheryl getting the #1 album next week is a near certainty. Saying that, Bieber could well claim #1 the following week (I don't see Maroon 5 being in contention for #1 - top 5 perhaps).

07. Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band 'Sing'

08. Carly Rae Jepsen 'Call Me Maybe'

Urgh.

Carrie is going in at #1 with 100k sold first week.

Oh wait... Back on earth, Justin will probably get #2 and Cheryl #1 but Justin will sell more consistently. Carrie should get top 40 at least :(

If she doesn't get top 40 with these low sales then there's no hope. :(

Well she has promo (the gig, Loose Women and probably more) so fingers crossed! Play On got #93 with nothing when sales were better so AT LEAST top 40 has to happen or I'll be gutted :(

The thing is that JME claims he will NEVER make a mainstream song so i doubt he will ever get a #1

lol. He's already done mainstream songs though. I'm sure Radio would go to #1 if it was released as a single now.

I have contributed to the Carrie Underwood Foundation... aka, her album has arrived.

Cheryl vs. Justin is Rihanna vs. 1D all over again. Hopefully Cheryl wins, I'll be gutted if she misses out!

I don't think it's a certainty either way, I can't call it at the moment. Cheryl seems to have a big hit with 'Call My Name' and both her other albums have gone to #1 but they were both released in Q4 at the time of The X Factor and I think her 2nd album was quite weak. Saying that, I think her new album is her best so far. As for Bieber, he of course has loads of teenage girl fans who will rush out and buy it first week.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bieber at #1 in the mids but with Cheryl getting it by Sunday. I also wouldn't be surprised if they swap the week after as I don't know how consistent either will be - in the long run though I think 'Believe' can sell really well and change some peoples views as it has lots of single potential.

Apparently Cheryl was outselling Bieber n preorders for their albums but it could be quite close tbh.

Should boost dwindling album sales for a few weeks at the least!

Justin will probably take the lead on iTunes at least at the start of the week as he's had no pre-orders so everyone will go and buy it as soon as it's up. It all depends on the physicals, really.

That makes no sense - Cheryl Cole has pre-orders while Justin doesn't, so surely she'll take the early lead? :P

I think Cheryl will beat Bieber to #1 next week, but it could be close. Both will be extremely frontloaded and neither will sell masses in the long run.

The very early lead, yes, but Justin's fans will all be buying early on anyway and he'll take over anyway. :P I'm confusing myself now...

Which songs from Justin and Cheryl's albums do you think will sell the most next week?

I think from Cheryl's it will be Under the Sun (). From Justin's I think possibly Right Here () or Maria (). It's difficult to guess though.

Under The Sun (I agree, just ) is the apparently 2nd single, so probably that for Cheryl's. Screw You had a radio premiere and possible 2nd single too so maybe that.

For Justin, surely Beauty and A Beat or Right Here for the featured artists, and maybe Maria since it seems to be getting love from non-fans atm.

Under the Sun also had a radio premiere too apparently (on Capital FM).

3 Words and The Flood both also premiered before the album release, and 3 Words went straight into the top 15 on iTunes, and The Flood, um, didn't. So it's hard to tell. I wouldn't mind Screw You either. That song is also absolutely brilliant!!

Another reason why Maria might be downloaded more is because it's a bonus track, so some people might get the original album and then download the bonus tracks seperately or something.

Under the Sun will have to peak at #16 to continue the pattern of Alex Da Kid songs though. I just hope it ruins the pattern and goes to #1 eventually. I doubt it will happen though.

Cheryl will beat Beiber but can't see it selling 100k next week as some people are suggesting. The single will still sell well though, it is pretty catchy :coffee:

Hopefully Gary should keep top 5 this week after his boost today :cheer:

I can't see there being an albums battle between Cheryl and Justin if I am completely honest. I can see Cheryl selling anything from 80-100k and Justin selling around 50-60k, I really can't see it being close, by maybe I will be wrong.

I personally don't have a clue either tbh. I think Justin Bieber will have massive sales in the US though. Some people say he might do 500,000 first week, which would be amazing (the highest in the past 12 months behind Lil Wayne and Drake I think).
