June 17, 201213 yr This is a closed contest that you have to be participating in to vote in. Registration is closed for the foreseeable future. That is all. You are right on one of those points. This isn't a democracy. :) Do you have any idea of when you may be re-opening the registration? Or is it something that probably won't happen as there are too many people?
June 17, 201213 yr Do you have any idea of when you may be re-opening the registration? Or is it something that probably won't happen as there are too many people? Typically in the past it's been reopened after numbers have gone down a bit. It's normally just something that's done to ease the pressure on semis, as it's difficult to have final numbers much higher than 30/31 and semi numbers much higher than 25 each - the more in each semi, the more likely it is that you could get knocked out by pure chance by ending up in a semi less favourable to your song.
June 17, 201213 yr Of course if people have already registered in the registration post, they can participate in the next contest or so (I think anyways?).
June 17, 201213 yr Do you have any idea of when you may be re-opening the registration? Or is it something that probably won't happen as there are too many people? Like Tyron said, it will reopen. We are unsure as to when that will be right now. The mods are working out a solution to the high numbers but that takes time and while we do that and make sure it works we will be keeping registration closed. I am hoping it won't be too long. Any one who has registered may enter. Regardless of if they have never entered or if they are a returnee. We just aren't allowing any new countries to join us at the moment. Keep checking back though!
