Oh, Hits left out Calvin/Example - being released in such a dead environment should hopefully help it finally be a #1 after three straight #2s for Calvin :cheer: I'm a bit BIASED because of the featured artist but it's genuinely my favourite Calvin single of this era so far.

And brilliant to see will.i.am at #1 before the chart show! Hopefully that should be the official #1 in the bag then, I really didn't think we'd see Maroon 5 dethroned so quickly :o

Isn't the chart show starting at 6pm today? :( We'll miss a play of Euphoria...

Its been changed to a 5:30pm start. Basically it be a quick rundown from 11-40, with just a few tracks been played, in Reggie's case 2 or 3 plus waffle.

On the Big Top 40 Show (which might be getting a slightly higher audience this week ), they used to manage to play 10 songs in half an hour before. So Radio 1 could manage 10 songs between #11 and #40 and the top 10 in full in 90 minutes if they tried imo. But they probably won't. I remember last year I think, they only played the top 10 + Finish Line by Yasmin, during 60 minutes and they overran by like 10 minutes aswell (it was the week The Lazy Song got to #1 I think).

I was a bit dubious as I wasn't exactly keen on 'Bounce', 'Feel So Close' or 'Let's Go' so would be surprised if after those three singles, Calvin Harris goes on to release a track that's up there with some of his best singles like 'I'm Not Alone', 'Acceptable In The 80s' and 'Dance Wiv Me'. This is of course just my opinion but I'd rather listen to the latter three than the former three.

That only works if they cut the start and the end of the songs plus without chatting in half an hour. ;)

Regardless of your opinion on it it's surely an obvious hit though? :P

Radio 1 need to rename The UK Top 40 Chart Show to "The UK Top 40 Chat Show" because it seems the dj's spend more air time chatting inane banter that nobody (probably including themselves) are even remotely interested in. Then spend the remaining time playing music...and talking over those songs too. :manson:

Most likely, yes.

Can I just make it clear to everyone please do not post any chart info till Radio 1 start announcing the chart, yes Lee Wallace that includes you :P

Quite.

DO NOT post spoilers on chart positions on this site.

Anyone ignoring this will receive a warning. End of.

You can roll your eyes all you like Lee. However, the GA forum is still on this site and we will not accept posting of chart positions on this site before Radio 1 have revealed them.

Yeah, on the Big Top 40 Show, they have edits of the song which might cut out the 2nd verse, for example, so the song can be less than 3 minutes.

This week aswell, they'll want to talk about the concerts no doubt. I wouldn't be surpirsed if they play live versions of some of the tracks either.

Actually I wouldn't mind if they do this but only with fallers. It's better to listen to new songs and climbers (well if they aren't "100" years old of course) in full.

Loreen back up to 35 :w00t:

:cheer: Hopefully the music video might keep it in the top 40 for a while once it eventually gets released!
