How can I see the popularity bars in iTunes 9 & 10?

Use this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...aultSeeAllSongs

Then select 'View' and tick 'popularity', alternatively, in the headings bar (Artist, Album, Time, etc), right click and select 'popularity'

Popbars! How retro. Ellie down to #7 again, I don't think she's ever gonna get much higher than #5 on iTunes in all honesty. :( Cher being at #13 pleases me though, can't be long until she goes top 10!
Poor old Olly breaking the US just isn't gonna happen now beyond the US version of 'In Case You Didn't Know' being brought out in September is it? What with all this poor decision making from Columbia having the digital download of HSAB out for over a month now and THEN deciding to release it to radio once he's back here in the UK. To use a common expression my dad uses, 'They couldn't organise a p***-up in a brewery!' And yet it won't be Columbia that gets the kicking and people will start calling him a 'flop' back here like they did with JLS when they didn't do well out there. *le huff*

The Wanted had better promotion than ALL X-Factor acts together.

I think it's too early to give up on Olly. The song's only just gone to radio. Ellie took a year to get to this stage. The question that Olly faces is the same dilemma Robbie Williams was in - does he want to spend time promoting his 3rd album to a country where his last 2 have gone 2xP+, or start ground up in a bigger country with no rewards guaranteed?

But given the current pop climate and the welcoming of foreign acts, now's really the best time for Olly.

Can't say... she still might!

Seeing Cher Lloyd at #11 on US iTunes is ridiculous. I'm pleased for her, it's just something I never expected! I thought she'd flop or have no opportunity to release there. So many UK acts having debut hits at the moment!

But again, my question stands: why are they releasing it to radio now when he's not in America again until the week the US version of the album is released in September? And it wasn't as if he wasn't doing the same level of promo Cher Lloyd's been doing - he was going to radio stations during the day when he was on the One Direction tours - he did Jay Leno and two showcases in New York and LA on the days when the tour was moving cities or whatever. So it's not as if he hasn't put in the ground work, Z100 in New York playlisted him and they're supposed to be quite an influential station. But no one apart from them or Radio Disney in California seems to be playing it.

Some of it as well seems to be with Columbia that they can't handle the fact he's his own artist back here and it's almost like they thought trying to mould him into the '6th' member of One Direction was gonna be the way to sell him, which has pissed off the fans he had out there who knew of him before the 1D tour presented itself - I know having spoken to them on Twitter. In fact the only thing they got right was the US version of the HSAB video (he plays a football coach and mid-fielder in it if you haven't seen it) cos at least it still kept his personality and his sense of humour and what we know him for. Throwing Chiddy Bang on instead of Rizzle Kicks wasn't a good move either. I just think the US campaign has been handled poorly so far TBH.

It's not even as if the US version of the album is offering much different apart from new artwork - it's all tracks from the first two albums that most of the fans he has out there will have imported from Amazon and the like already. It's like no one has any common sense.

The Wanted had better promotion than ALL X-Factor acts together.

Only because they had Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber's manager plugging them out. Until they can say they've had more than one hit besides 'Glad You Came' and an album that's actually sold significantly they've nowhere near 'cracked' America. Hell they can't even shift albums back here as it stands!

Cher Lloyd at #11 :D Top 10 in the next update for her please! Didn't expect her to do this well in US.

Ellie  #6

Flo Rida  #3

Carly & Owl City  #4

P!nk  #96 - rising quite fast.

EDIT: P!nk  #70 - #1, maybe?

Edited by Umi

The Wanted have underperformed album wise in America if you ask me, consedering their promotion.

01. Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe 100%

02. Katy Perry - Wide Awake 95%

03. Flo Rida - Whistle

10. Usher - Scream 50%

11. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back 40%

24. Maroon 5 & Wiz Khalfia - Payphone

27. Demi Lovato - Give Your Heart A Break

62. The Wanted - Chasing The Sun

63. Pink - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)

COME ON CHER LLOYD

Need to give P!nk's new song a listen! I hope it's had some work done to it as the "demo" was very good, but lacked the melody and didn't feel as polished off as it should have.
