All the songs so far have been so good, I can only hope the quality can be kept up as it goes on! Stan seems far too low though :(

How are they gonna finish this by 10:45 when their not even in the top 40 yet?! :o

Ooh, The Prodigy avoided the bottom 5! They were always going to be near the bottom so 55th is a good enough result :D

41 Rod Stewart - Maggie May 1971

Thats all until next saturday night!

So many classics.....there have been some great no1s lol the 60s and 80s seem to be best though. It makes sense though with the 60s came rock n roll and with the 80s came electronic music!!

Firestater and The Drugs Dont Work are something approaching genius.
I don't really think there were many surprises tonight. Pretty good list so far, only a few random inclusions. I really hate The Drugs Don't Work though.

Oh no...the bit that goes 'and I know I'm on the losing side'...and the warm bass comes in brings a lump to my throat.

Well, I am personally appalled that Diana Vickers 'Once' hasn't made the top 60! Who were these judges? :drama:

Has The Wreckoning been revealed yet?

(& gangstress with that katie got bandz reppin you're already my favourite member ever)

The Drugs Don't Work is easily one of the best number 1s of the 90s.

People who dismiss it easily fail to hear the sheer emotion behind the song.

and LOL at Ryan! :D

Thanks for bringing attention to yourself GALANG.

Agreed. And WMYB. :(

^I wonder where they stopped with conssideration for the no1s. I would say for instance that WMYB and gotye were excluded because they are too modern? The most modern no1 on the list so far is Bonkers.

Although im not sure if any of the grease soundtracks are in the top 60 (although i wait to be told im wrong) so theres no chance for WMYB!

I can't really make any predictions, although I do know Elton would just miss out. Elvis will be close too.
