What's happening here... Adam Lambert getting a top 20 hit in the UK? What has he done to achieve that?

 

I love the song and album, it's just so random given the numerous flop singles from his debut which was much bigger success elsewhere in the world.

 

Capital airplay is the reason it's that high. If it weren't for that, it would probably be flopping as much as his other singles :P

 

 

I like the lyrics and music in Spectrum.

 

Unfortunately, nothing grates more on me than Florence's "voice".

 

I live in Paisley, Scotland (you can imagine) and honestly, she sounds like the females that roam the streets after a full day in the pub. Screeching and cackling.

How many times have I asked myself that question? In one song it summarises virtually all I dislike about rap - dark, scary & intimidating.

 

The only reason that possibly makes sense to me, is Michelle Pfeiffer's presence in the video... :whip:

 

That's what makes it so brilliant for me :lol:

 

It manages to capture everything that is wrong with the hateful people in the world. It's timeless for me and still relevant today :wub:

I don't see how you can find Gangsta's Paradise scary and intimidating. It's one of the most empowering songs ever imo!

Gangsta's paradise is dark and foreboding, it's designed to be, it's not about a very pleasant topic, but it's meant to be REAL

Party Rock Anthem is a rap song, as it conrtains rapping. But it's not a hip hop song, since it uses a dance beat. Same with Pound the Alarm for example. It has a good amount of rapping, but is not a hip hop song.

 

Without Me is probably the best example out of Em's songs (at least his well-known ones).

 

On another note, I can see Florence being as high as #2 in the mid-weeks.

I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure Born This Way sold more pretty much everywhere. I agree with him that TEOG was the 'bigger' song though.
