Oh gosh, that's going to push a load of older songs up the chart, yet again. :drama: I hope it boosts Level Up and iLL Manors though. :coffee:

Maroon 5's song might be number 1 again after NOW that's what i call music 82 comes out

It would slow down the charts even more, because more things would have chart runs of 25-14-8-7-6-7-5-6-8-6-9-10-etc. We wouldn't get those 2-5-9-17-etc. type of chart runs as much anymore, which are basically the only things that keep the charts relatively fast-moving.

Ah, but the earlier release of new songs would push old ones out quicker...

If you want to find out which are the biggest selling singles of the year I suggest you look at vidcappers' YTD T40 Singles/Albums thread he dies.

I do?

But the old ones will be in the chart earlier aswell, plus, a lot of songs would miss the top 40 altogether if they're not held back, so won"t be able to push anything out, when they could've done.

I'm not against this, but it would make the charts even slower, that's all I'm trying to say.

Sorry about that vidcapper. I meant to put does. I only just realised that I put 'dies' instead of 'does'.

The argument about making the charts slower seems irrelevant to me - who cares - its what people buy thats all. All songs need OA/OS imo and they can be in the charts longer if they want because they gain exposure and climb rather than be held back!

Next to Me would have sold a million if released OA/OS imo too!!

From which I infer Florence is not on there.

When is it out?

Florence will get it this week, but if Now 82 is out next week, she'll be down quite a bit, as some of the top 10 will climb.

No they are not. I think they got to number 1 too late to be on NOW that's what i call music 82 so maybe they will be on NOW 83 instead.

The people who also do the NOW albums probably didn't know Spectrum was going to be such a big hit when they were deciding the tracklist.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we got the Now! 82 tracklisting before the Calvin mix of Spectrum was released and I don't recall anyone thinking it'd even go top 10 before release

309. Cheryl - Under The Sun

Good to see this still hovering around, despite little airplay. The preview pics of the video have been released and it looks like her best yet. Hopefully it becomes a big hit for her!

Has florence ever been on any other NOW album?

Has florence ever been on any other NOW album?

Yep, quite a few times, at least 4 or 5...

Has florence ever been on any other NOW album?

Yes:

Now 73 - Rabbit Heart

Now 74 - You've Got The Love

Now 75 - Dog Days Are Over

Now 81 - Shake It Out

Im not sure Cheryl will make top 15 with her new song, sounds very 'album trackish' to me and most of the reviews ive seen are of the same opinion. But as long as it boosts her album it will be job done
I think Under the Sun is amazing, but I think Screw You would've been a better choice for 2nd single.

Screw You would do better as third single imo. Under the Sun is good for this time of year (and now since the weather will be improving).
