What a way to kick me when I'm down - first to tell me The Script have a new single, then tell me it's a collaboration with that twitchy eyed buffoon will.I.am...I'll hold judgement until I hear it but I fear the worst! (Or should that be 'Before the Worst'? I'm so comic :D)
I really can't wait for this. They're one of my favourite bands so I'm looking forward to see what they offer us. 'Science & Faith' was too much of a grower, I always liked it, but didn't really love it until about 4 months after when it randomly clicked with me. 'The Script' on the other hand is within my top 10 albums ever. It's fantastic. Hopefully this era will be different, but not too different to their debut. S&F seemed to take the best parts of TS and Americanise them for their American fans/so their songs would be played over season finale episodes etc..
Uh Oh.....Cannot for the life of me see what Will.I.Am is going to add to The Script. The only explanation is that it may get a bit more play over the pond in the U.S.

It's hitting radio on Monday, so not long to wait to see how it turns out.

NO! Why on earth are The Script bringing in Will.I.Am!? The beauty of The Script's music is that it's real, honest music! I can't see how Will.I.Am's autotuned awful effect is going to improve this at all!! :(

Danny talks a bit about the song in an interview with the Sun. He said it's an actual duet, not just a feature; and it's a song that The Script had already written so if it's a change to there previous work, it's likely they were going that direction anyway.

I reckon Will's vocals will be more in line with his new song

, I can't see them wanting him to go all robot crazy on their song. People seem to forget that he had several albums out before he even touched autotune. I could be wrong ofc, it could be a techno track. =P

They said they'll release the track earlier if you do This. You have to post a picture with 3 fingers up... The things I do to hear new music. =P

You can hear a preview of the song here.

Anyone else think Will sounds similair to the Elephunk/Monkey Business days? Kinda hope that sticks.

Full track here:

I love it, really like the hook and the whole vibe. I don't know if will.i.am adds much but he doesn't ruin it at all either.

edit: Listening again and I was being stupid. will.i.am sings more than I thought and it wouldn't really work without him.

I really like it actually. Reminds me slightly of 'We Cry' which is never a bad thing, as that is by far and away my favourite Script song. I was thinking Will might ruin it but I actually listened to the whole song and didn't even realise that he was actually rapping, I just thought it was the other bald guy from the band that raps sometimes. It was nice hearing him rap without horrendous autotune over his voice, and actually the song really suits having him on there. Looking forward to the album now, they always produce the goods.
Its a strong lead single but there's no need for Will to be on it, Danny could do it on his own

I agree but then he hasn't been added for his vocal.....

The release is currently set for September 2nd.
I really like it! It's more like their first album mixed with 'Dead Man Walking' from their second album! (Which was my 3rd or 4th favourite from that album!) Hopefully get it in HQ soon so I can judge it properly, but I am really liking it so far. Welcome back The Script
This is poor. Not a hit I'm afraid.

Wishful thinking on your part I think, there's no way this won't go top 10 at the very least.
