If anyone is wondering why Public Enemy are top 40 with an album track from 2007, it's due to this wonderful advert for the Paralympic Games:

 

 

Wow, that's such a good advert. No wonder it's in the top 40. :lol: I checked its Wikipedia article, it turns out it's a very popular choice of song for adverts, etc.

 

The song was featured in Eric Koston's segment in the 2007 skateboarding video "Fully Flared". The song and its beat were used by ESPN for the 2011 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament. The song is also featured on the soundtrack of the video game Skate 2.

 

The song was later featured heavily in a Fall K-Mart ad as of 9/2011. It is also one of the lead songs in the commercials for ESPN's broadcasting of the Winter X Games.

 

In the United Kingdom, it was used as the soundtrack for a Channel 4 trailer promoting its coverage of the 2012 Summer Paralympics.

Conor and BOB seem the only relatively big releases

 

Karmin, Cedric Gervais and Madeon should also go top 40. B.o.B, Marina & the Diamonds and Cascada's songs have all been out for a while already (the latter from the Clubland album), but they might see boosts this week with their remixes, etc. being released.

I really hope Madeon can go at least top 20 if not top 10 with 'Finale' - I love it, better than 'Icarus' IMO (and I think it's had more support, don't remember 'Icarus' getting any Capital support for example, so it has a decent chance of charting higher).

 

Conor has a good chance of #1 but I wouldn't be too surprised if Florence ends up just holding it for a third week (or Maroon 5 return there <_<) Cedric Gervais should go top 5 and I'd predict Karmin to enter in the low top 10 and peak in a few weeks. The other new releases won't do much, the last Clement Marfo & The Frontline single got to #96 so this one could maybe do similarly?

 

EDIT: And like Eric said, Lost My Way will finally become chart eligible, so hopefully it will go at least top 100 - it's dropped out of the iTunes top 100 for now but it should climb back in when the album is released.

Lemme See by Usher and At Your Inconvenience by Professor Green were pretty much in the exact same situation (went quite high on iTunes, but dropped out the top 100 by the time the album was released), but they both charted top 100, so hopefully this will be the same.

Heatwave is such an odd song. The verses really do not go with the chorus, it sounds like two separate songs to me.

He says the word "gyal dem" quite a lot as well :lol:

Dizzee Rascal is gonna bring out a song for the olympics featuring Pepper called "Scream" on the 5th August. Also i have just seen that Vegas Girl is 59p on itunes

I'm not sure, after The Power not going to #1. Depends what the song sounds like aswell.

Delphic isnt out until next sunday now.i think clemente marfo will do well - its a great track and very suitable for the olympics!!
