What makes people think Cheryl's post album single is a #1 contender? Realistically I think it'll be more like #13 or so...

 

I agree (although hopefully it can get higher than #13). It's very rare that post-album songs go to #1, only happens a few times a year. Even Cheryl will struggle.

 

For comparison, her other post-album singles peaked at #4 (3 Words), #5 (Parachute) and #18 (The Flood). If 3 Words couldn't get to #1, when Cheryl was probably at her biggest chart power, I doubt Under the Sun will.

Midnight City by M83 is been used on BBC1 between programmes, its one of the themes for the Olympics, let's hope the single charts again top 40.

I think what the artists should do is make the song album only before it's released, then afterwards when the song is officially released they can make it available to download from the album as well to give the best chance of #1.

I hope 'I Can Only Imagine' can climb a bit more.

 

Right, this is a long shot but I'm hoping somebody out there can put my mind to rest, but when Chris Brown says "do do do" in that tone, (which is 38 seconds in to the I Can Only Imagine video -

), it sounds familiar REALLY reminds me of another song, and I know it's a song I like but I can't put my finger to it and it's making my mind go in overdrive! :lol: Does anyone know what it could be?
