Probably antiticapting for the release I think. As I said, an early peak will do for this song as she will be unable to reach the top 5 if the video was not out this quickly.

Just because the video is so early, it doesn't necessarily mean the song will peak early. For example, I think Super Bass peaked almost 3 months after its music video was released.

Karmin now almost at #2! :o I never thought this would be such a big hit.

 

I don't know why Nicki and her team have been lacking in getting the videos out at the appropriate time recently. Pound The Alarm could have been much higher with joint video exposure and radio airplay but oh well, I'm not a massive fan of it anyway so not too bothered. :lol:

Pound the Alarm has only JUST entered the top 200 on US iTunes, so I think if anything they're releasing the video way too early (for their main market, not for us).

It's so weird though, the Drake mania is dieing down now. I honestly thought Crew Love had peaked in popularity tbh. And I've heard nothing but "YOLO" for the past 6 months, and The Motto hasn't even charted top 75. I think, at the end of the day, all this really proves is that the charts aren't really run by young people (although Military Wives Choir going #1 on iTunes probably should've made this point already :lol:).

It's just annoying that it suddenly starts to climb everytime a song is about to enter the top 10. :drama: And the weather is so nice at the moment, but the song seems totally inappropriate (it reminds me of like February for some reason, maybe because that's when Starships came out :lol:).
