Some Nights  #44 - climb damnit!!!

At least all these older songs shooting up the charts will prepare us for the X Factor juggernaut due to start later this week...

I can't stand the Olympics, so I watched some Curb Your Enthusiasm on DVD.

LMAO!!! you watched a programme that was made over 10 years ago on "DVD" instead of the event that has been dominating world and UK news for the past 2 or 3 weeks. I bet your the only person in the world that is happy that the olympics are over

I believe Take That Rule the world has sold nearer to 900,000, hopefully someday it can become a million seller.

I don't like the Olympics, watched the opening and closing ceremonies but that's it. Don't see what the problem is.

No I am too. I barely watched any of it because I don't like sport at all, I did watch the opening ceremony and closing ceremony though, but it's his choice if he doesn't want to. Exactly the same with music, for example I love the fact Kate Bush is top 10 but some people won't.

There's no problem, it's your choice but it just seems it a bit strange

17. Muse 'Survival'

Hopefully re-peak for this then, #25 is truly a poor peak for such an anthemic track; especially given it was named the 'official' song of the London 2012 Olympics.

Genuinely shocked to see Emeli Sande as high as #6 on iTunes now, it peaked at #49 back in February, so even going top 40 after the performance would've been an achievement for an album track. Wonder if she'll decide to release it as a single? Am sure the likes of Capital and Heart will get behind it, just as they did with Alicia Keys' solo version of 'Empire State of Mind'.

27. Far East Movement 'Turn Up the Love (feat. Cover Drive)'

The track that only last week was as high as #4 on iTunes, my my. Looks like #13 will remain it's peak for now, expect to see a significant dip in its chart run this week with all these Olympic-entries ahead of it.

Some horrific drops on iTunes now, Conor Maynard, Of Monsters & Men (:() and FEM/CD to name a few! I know the Olympic tracks are pushing them down but still!

 29 Cheryl - Under The Sun

This is holding up extremely well, while most other songs are pushed down by Olympics songs and new entries. If it wasn't for the Olympics she would actually be in the top 20! She should climb up considerably once the Olympics songs begin to fall.

She hasn't been affected by the week-end effect at all and only fell down after last night Olympics. There's 7 songs related to the Olympics ahead so hopefully by the time they fall down the charts she can get that top 20 placing !

I hope Heart starts playing RAAI III so that it can stay in the chart for ages like Need You Now.

Looks like Angel will be out the top 10 in a bit though. :(

Well by my count, there's 35 Olympic related songs (mainly songs at the opening and closing ceremony) in the top 100!
On Sunday the Spice Girls may not appear in the top 75 singles chart but i believe the Greatest Hits will mnage a re-entry, i would like to see them appear in the top 75 covering another year for them.
