So yeah, I'm not feeling the love with this Bieber song, it sounds just as awful as the rest of his output and I'm sticking to that.

2012 04 Too Close -1-

First time hearing this, actually pretty good - certainly a lot more bearable than 'Baby', 'One Time' and 'Eenie Meenie'. I think he's succeeded in maturing his sound with this album, 'Boyfriend' was a great lead single, while I actually liked the promotional release 'All Around the World' too (though it's quite generic). Nice to see Big Sean looking to nab a top 20 single with this too - hopefully it'll allow him to grab a hit of his own in the years to come.

As Long As You Love Me is just amazing - deserves to be #1!

Me too. The only song of his I ever really liked at all was Somebody To Love and that's because it sounds like someone totally different.

Just like what I was thinking about Bieber right now ;)

What a coincidence. That's the one song I was feeling slightly bad about (although strangely Far East Movement still manage to do a better job with the instrumental) with that statement.

Drive By is so OLD now, it would be so much more FUN if this was now 50 Ways To Say Goodbye but I guess lyrics about drowning in cement mixers don't translate well to commercial radio. :(

Oh, don't worry, we carry on ;)

Shame you have to go :(

i think that will definitely be top 40 next week, and hopefully a future #1! :w00t:

What, FEM produced it (which would explain everything, or they did a track with the same beat?

True, although my local radio plays it ALL THE TIME.

i think that will definitely be top 40 next week, and hopefully a future #1! :w00t:

I think that might be pushing it... top 10 maybe.

Dizzee Rascal's 19th top 40 hit (including charity singles + collaborations) - such an incredible discography. Really like this as a comeback actually, not as in-your-face as he could've returned with. Hopefully it'll climb next week, just odd to see it as the highest of the Olympics songs.

What, FEM produced it (which would explain everything, or they did a track with the same beat?

It's Rocketeer, it has a similar beat to Somebody to Love.

The Big Olympics Thread

I can't wait for the closing ceremony tonight. Not that I haven't enjoyed the sport, but I really want to see a Pet Shop Boys/Kate Bush/Spice Girls top 3 next week :kink:
