So has 'Run Boy Run' appeared anywhere in the iTunes chart? Would love to see this song become a bonafide smash hit. :D

 

It's not in the top 1000 at the moment. I guess people will struggle to recognise the song.

Don't forget that the song came out a few days ago and has barely had any airplay and Taylor doesn't even have a big fan base over here like she does in the US.

I think I'd be quite surprised in a gobsmacked kind of way if Taylor Swift ends up at #2 on iTunes, or even #1 overtaking 'Bom Bom' (although that seems really unlikely). Kudos to the record company releasing this now - still suspect the momentum for this single will continue right up until the video release.

Shocked but happy Taylor has gone top 10 so fast - it shows that she isn't a dead horse one hit wonder who might get a #30 smash now and again, she can get a hit. I suppose they learned from their mistake with Mine and rightfully released WANEGBT on the most logical date (the first Sunday after it came out everywhere else) so that momentum is high and it can chart high on 'fanbase buys' and then build up a respectable chart run and maybe even peak at #1.

Apparently it will be! It is already that on Amazon when you look at the MP3 version.

 

Hopefully they will see how well Taylor is doing "OA/OS" and make a last minute decision to not make it album only. It should easily manage top 10 seeing as Taylor has done on much less airplay and without a video!
