I think Somebody That I Used to Know was also on iTunes for a while, but they deleted it around the end of last year

This "Good Time" situation is just mind-boggling. Are they really that desperate for a #1 hit (and what's to say it wouldn't have just got there eventually anyway)?

They weren't already official top 20 hits and top 3 on iTunes.

I know that.

Call Me Maybe was approaching the top 40 of iTunes iirc before they deleted it. After the Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez video, the record label probably realized the song was going to be massive, and decided to hold it back and give it a full push. Same goes for We Are Young and the Superbowl advert.

Coincidentally, both those songs had to get their releases pulled forward in the end aswell.

I've heard a similar song to this before but i don't know the name of it, does anyone know the name of the original?

Maybe they want to hold it back so it's closer to the launch of Carly Rae's new album too and it took so long as the label(s) were in discussion. Or it was an accident. Or like you say, they want a #1 hit but I can't think of any more reasons other than these.

All Time Low's new song 'For Baltimore' is at #75, if anyone's interested.

Scouting For Girls' new single already down to #67, I guess its good start was entirely pre-order motivated then! This is more like what I expected it to be doing but when it got to #55 or so really quickly I thought it might end up going top 20. It's an awful song anyway so very glad to see it flopping.

Didn't notice 'Save The World' was back as high as #66 after XF, should definitely re-enter the top 100 and maybe the top 75 then :D

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=4082174

45 Coolio feat. L.V. - Gangasta's Paradise

47 Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump

52 The Killers - Mr Brightside

60 Owl City - Fireflies

65 Tom Petty - Free Fallin'

84 Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down

94 Usher - Yeah!

100 Misha B - Home Run

Her album is also #3 on Amazon - assuming Lucy remains on all/most other sites, I wonder where she'll end up on Sunday?

I see she's now gone from Amazon, too.

'Good Time' taking its time to drop, still currently #3 - but it'll have to go pretty soon as it can't be adding any more sales.
It looks like Lucy Spraggan was gone within 24 hours, could this mean the iTunes chart is only a 24-hour rolling chart?

She was deleted, so went straight out from #2 - her re-appearances on the feed after that were presumably not meant to happen. How long it takes Owl City to drop out will be different though as 'Good Time' is still on iTunes, so it'll stay on the feed, it's just album-only so cannot add any further sales to its rolling total.

That's Ini Kamoze's "Here Comes The Hotstepper" which was a hit in '95, but it also sampes "Heartbeat" by Taana Gardner.

So with the drop of Good Time we could be more wiser if it's a 24 or 48 hours rolling chart. At least I hope so :)

The UK truly is the most unlucky place for music releases - extremely delayed, generally poor chart runs and deletions of early releases. I wish they'd just release Pink's 'Blow Me' and Example's 'Say Nothing' already, while the recent deletions remind me of the time I bought Maverick Sabre's 'Let Me Go' months before it 'debuted' on the UK chart - having realised they deleted it that same week; only to release an EP a couple of months later officially.

Theres nothing unlucky about it, its record labels which try and control artists and the charts thats why they are held back so long nad when something like good time happens to slip through the radar they still try and control it even if its in the chart already!!

Clever time for All Time Low to release so soon after Reading. I seem to remember "I Feel Like Dancin'" made about #50 on iTunes before disappearing so if "For Baltimore" is the lead off their new album that's what it's got to aim for.

Has PSY Gangnam Style charted in the UK Top 100 Itunes yet?

It cracked the USA Top 50 on Itunes and been around that range for a few days now. All based on a viral Youtube MV.

In the top 200 yes, but not in the top 100 yet.
