The memes coming out of this, though. 😂

Not Such An Innocent Girl to climb the charts!

Ha yes, I'm seeing so many memes re: the inappropriate dancing...!

That's a very damning statement from Brooklyn. Undoubtedly the biggest hit to Brand Beckham's image since Rebecca Loos.

I know a lot of Spice Girls fans are rubbishing his claims, but others feel that there could indeed be truth there. Personally, I think the most likely thing is that the truth lies somewhere in the middle of what he is saying, and whatever the Beckham family feel about it all. I mean, we all know "Brand Beckham" is absolutely a thing, that they strive to curate the "perfect family" image, that's been a huge part of how they present themselves to the public for years.

Even though Brooklyn criticises them both, I feel like Victoria gets the main brunt of his ill feelings. The aforementioned inappropriate dancing aspect of it... even though social media is having a field day with that via memes, that still must be incredibly embarrassing for Victoria - it's a harsh accusation for sure.

It's really sad that this is that situation, and I do hope at some point they're all able to resolve things, if that can naturally happen and it's what both sides want - but clearly not at the moment.

I'm curious to see how David/Victoria handle this. Ignore his statement and just pretend like none of this is happening? Or release a statement of their own - but if so, what could they even say that manages to not exacerbate things, both in terms of their family relationship but also public perception? We'll see.

He sounds like a typical brat having tantrums cos he didn't get his own way, she's probably another Megan

Quite similar to Megan and Harry in a way both couples estranged from their family.

Anyway it's the family's business for them to deal with, should be no concern for others but that's celebrity for you.

I dont think it is fair to speculate on the ins and outs as it is a private matter and shouldnt be layed down in the open like this. That's awful as hell.

I did like Marina Hyde's article on The Guardian talking about it though, she kind of hits the nail on the head about how the Beckham's have sold theirs and their children's privacy for big money for a long time. There are bound to be consequences to that level of exposure on their children, since it is not like they had the ability to say no - as they were children without a choice in the matter!

Brooklyn Beckham has been commodified since he was a foetus. The story of Victoria’s pregnancy was sold by his parents. When he was born, David and Victoria sold the first pictures of him. They sold intimate looks around their home and his nursery. They sold their wedding, staying up till 3am on the night of that big day, deciding which pictures would be featured in OK! magazine. They sold everything – mostly, back then, to OK!. Its proprietor, Richard Desmond, wrote in his autobiography about spending what felt like every Friday at Victoria’s parents’ house with the young couple, where they would all “plot and plan the next features we’d do”. A huge cheque was always involved, and the Beckhams wanted the limelight – all of it – so much.

But as time went on, David and Victoria acquired more sophisticated advisers who understood the rapidly morphing potential of controlling image and brand, and built a vast and diversified empire for them off the back of it. When social media came along, the Beckhams channelled their business through its pipes. As I’ve written here before, they were past masters at not simply turning to their children and telling them they loved them, but photographing them, tagging them and sending the message of love via social media. Alchemically lucrative – but an accident waiting to happen?

Wow, I can imagine Victoria must be losing her mind over this. Honestly, she’s the one who comes off worst from Brooklyn’s accusations.

Victoria has always been hated. She’s spent the last few years cleaning up her image and gaining more respect for her work, but I feel like this drags her right back to the hated Victoria of the 2000s. I think the press will be brutal with her.

I assume Brooklyn has exaggerated some things, but I get the sense that a large part of what he says is true — all the children have been exposed since birth. Anyway, let’s see how this affects Victoria and her brand.

Victoria, if you want to put a stop to this: get the girls back together, announce a few Wembley concerts, and no one will be talking about this anymore 😂😂😂

If you have issues with your parents, discuss/trash it out with them; if you dislike them so much and you want to stay away from them, do that by all means; If you want to rant, speak to your friends, or pay a therapist. But coming to social media to throw tantrums? To achieve what exactly?!

We don't know what's happened behind closed doors, as there could be multiple versions and different recollections, but humiliating your parents in public is never justified in my opinion.

It's interesting that his wife still posts pictures of her own parents, celebrating them; but Brooklyn is doing the opposite.

The average person sure. His statement talks about the Beckhams creating narratives that aren't true to protect the brand in the media so I guess he wanted to share his side of the story coming direct from him. We have no idea what the truth is I'm sure there's elements of truth from both sides though.

I completely believe him tbh, it's not news to anyone that she's a control freak and we saw from the documentary how they make the lives of their children all about "Brand Beckham"

Agree but her reason for doing that could be to try and protect the kids futures rather than just selfish reasons. We've seen so many celebs have scandals play out publicly and once the drama is over they end up out of the picture losing lots of work etc...(Which could easily happen now if this continues)

Apparently there is a TikTok campaign going on to get the song in the charts lol seems to be working...

Who would have THOUGHT that VB would be in the charts due to her own viral moments lately, first with Viva Forever and now with Not Such an Innocent Girl

Two classics!

If Not Such An Inocent Girl goes viral in 2026, well this wasn’t on my bingo card.

Come on Posh, get that solo number one that you deserved!! 😂
