Flo Rida does not have a fanbase - he can't sell albums to save his life

That's only if your main criteria for fanbase = ability to sell albums. IMO if people will buy whatever singles you put out, regardless of quality, then that is, de facto, a fanbase.

White - no change

Light green - small improvement

Dark green - big improvement

Light pink - small decline

Dark pink - big decline

But I've often seen #1's in red, despite them remaining steady at 100% - shouldn't they be white in that case?

iTunes Update - (Thu, 6th September, 2012) - morning

[000] :re: 108| Otto Knows - Million Voices

 Great to see this back in time for Radio 1 playlisting it. Would love for it to go top 40 next week!

I don't think Flo Rida has much of a fanbase. All three of his singles did really poorly in the US at first, they all took a few months to take off. If he had a big fanbase, his songs would all go straight into the top 10 at least, but the only song that did that is Right Round (in a massive way ).

The #1 is always at 100%, no matter if it's declining rapidly.

But my point is - how can you even *tell* if it's declining rapidly, when everything else is measured relative to it?

When everything else appears to be gaining on it? It's hardly like you're going to have 80 songs that randomly spike in sales at the same time.

Why is 'Ill Manors' back in the top 100?

It's been reduced to 59p + promotion of 'Deepest Shame' may encourage users to view the album (and thus purchase other tracks).

 010. Flo Rida 'I Cry'

 011. Rita Ora 'How We Do (Party)'

 035. Avicii & Lenny Kravitz 'Superlove'

 046. The xx 'Angels'

 049. Deadmau5 'Professional Griefers'

 052. PSY 'Gangam Style'

 053. Labrinth 'Treatment'

 088. Otto Knows 'Million Voices'*

* Strangely this is still just a version from a compilation. The real version is now available for purchase if you type in 'Otto Knows' into iTunes; though the compilation version is 20p cheaper currently.

Looks like Jonjo might have been right :( Little Mix are already close to overtaking P!nk, so she should actually end up at #04 on Sunday.

How are they going to overtake Pink in the official chart if Pink has been 4 days ahead of them and probably selling a 40% more than them the first couple of days and she's still ahead of them?

If Little Mix overtake P!nk today, they might do in the current charts as P!nk will only fall faster due to the weekend effect!

10. Flo Rida - I Cry

15. Cheryl - Under The Sun

21. Professor Green - Avalon

26. Fazer - Killer

33. Avicii - Superlove

When this "fall faster" comes then you could be right, but it is not happening at the moment.

Livepopbars have Pink with 0.60 and Little Mix with 0.525 with only 2 days and a half until the official chart, unless Little Mix start selling as much as Ne-Yo they won't overtake Pink. I think the difference between them at the end of the week will be around 10,000.

035. Avicii & Lenny Kravitz 'Superlove'

I would totally approve of this becoming a future #1. :yahoo: Won't happen though.

One of the midweek updates said the top 3 were storming ahead of everything else, so even if Little Mix were to overtake Pink; they'd have a lot of sales to catch up on. I don't see it happening myself (at least not officially), but Pink could drop behind them officially next week; with Tulisa likely to occupy the final position in the top 5.

I agree, Little Mix could end up with half of the sales they did last week, probably finish on 55k or less for the week, while the top 3 will finish over 65k - 100k plus (anywhere between that bracket). I can't see Little Mix overtaking P!nk. Also people are more likely to download the new material plus we know Little Mix were frontloaded last week at the beginning of the week and ended up selling 107k, their sales surely must have dipped and their physicals are exhausted, people will just move onto the new stuff.
